• Santorum: Obama's worldview upside-down
(CBS News) Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said he takes the president at his word that he's a Christian, but said Barack Obama's "world view" is different than that of most Americans. Santorum commented in Ohio Saturday that the president believes in "some phony ideal, some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible, a different theology." Asked to clarify his statements on CBS News' "Face the Nation" Sunday, Santorum said that he was referring not to the president's faith but to environmentalism. "Well, I was talking about the radical environmentalists," he told Schieffer. "That's what I was talking about: Energy, this idea that man is here to serve the Earth, as opposed to husband its resources and be good stewards of the Earth. And I think that is a phony ideal. I don't believe that that's what we're here to do - that man is here to use the resources and use them wisely, to care for the Earth, to be a steward of the Earth, but we're not here to serve the Earth. "The Earth is not the objective," Santorum said. "Man is the objective. I think a lot of radical environmentalists have it upside-down." But Schieffer pressed Santorum, saying that by using the term theology it sounded like he was questioning the president's religion. "I wasn't suggesting the president's not a Christian. I accept the fact that the president is a Christian," Santorum said, looking agitated. "I just said that when you have a worldview that elevates the Earth above man and says that we can't take those resources because we're going to harm the Earth; by things that frankly are just not scientifically proven, for example, the politicization of the whole global warming debate - this is all an attempt to, you know, to centralize power and to give more power to the government. "It's not questioning the president's beliefs in Christianity. I'm talking about the belief that man should be in charge of the Earth and have dominion over it and should be good stewards of it. "I've repeatedly said that I believe the president is a Christian. He says he is a Christian. But I am talking about his worldview or the way he approaches problems in this country and I think they're different than how most people do in America."
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-3460_162-57381029/santorum-obamas-worldview-upside-down/ Video in source
well when you're standing on the ceiling everything is going to look upside down to you, isn't it?
If you send Santorum to Australia, would it fix his worldview?
Fucking republicans and the goddamn environment. I love my clean water and trees!
It genuinely scares me that people would ever consider voting for this man.
Someone should remind Santorum that his view is backwards.
Fucking republicans and the goddamn environment. I love my clean water and trees!
I love those trees too. More trees means less of the CO2 produced by sweet sounding V8s stays in the atmosphere, which is that much less ecomentalists can bitch about. Also means more oxygen to breath, which is nice. They also make great noise barriers if you live next to a busy road.
No, little guy, you are the special one.
I really wish religion kept out of politics. I don't give a shit if your a devout christian, If you wont do your job, then you wont get my vote.
Agreed. Religion and political parties are two of the reasons our political system is such a clusterfuck. Everyone just bitches across party lines, failing that, they try to run the country like a theocracy. Dipshits the lot of 'em.

Stupid moron can't tell the difference between theology and philosophy.
the worldview of rick santorum
He's getting his daily dose of santorum.
I have a feeling he secretly thinks he is a Muslim.
He's getting his daily dose of santorum.
You could say he's full of himself.
I really wish religion kept out of politics. I don't give a shit if your a devout christian, If you wont do your job, then you wont get my vote.
Yea, I fucking hate Obama, Bush, and Clinton for how they have used their religion to further their goals and make decisions in the Whitehouse.
If you send Santorum to Australia, would it fix his worldview?
Please don't. We don't want him. You can keep Rupert Murdoch too.

He is trying to make it sound like a giant conspiracy.
"things that frankly are just not scientifically proven"
Oh you mean like god?
So wait, does that mean Obama is secretly an AUSTRALIAN?!
Oh you mean like god?
this is a fucking retarded argument and partaking in it can only end in tears
If you send Santorum to Australia, would it fix his worldview?
I don't think they want him either.
He'll blend in with the sheep.
Oh you mean like god?
God isn't supposed to scientifically proven. The whole point behind religion is faith
he's right, humankind always comes first. I can't stand environmentalists. though to be honest it sounds like his clarification was backpedaling. also I forsee that I'm about to get a bunch of blind dumb ratings by people who didn't read the article and assume that everything Santorum touches turns to shit.
Well, at least he's slaughtering his chances like a motherfucker. At this rate the only people voting for him will be this crazy bitch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtsUmmCBCaQ

This makes me think I could get to be the president of the US just for saying American Jesus Christian God. Seriously people... How do retards like Sanctorum actually earn more and get to such high places compared to "illeterate" hard working people who probably could only talk about FOOTBALL! and would still be smarter than him?
Is it just me or does it seem like Santorum's arguments are always really skittish and such? He doesn't seem to be making much sense here, talking about theology and suddenly about radical environmentalists and 'serving the earth' even though I've never seen Obama really doing many 'serving the earth' actions.

Don't worry. Santorum will be forgotten soon. These types of people rarely make it into memory. Especially since he can't win.
God isn't supposed to scientifically proven. The whole point behind religion is faith
True. I will never understand a person who believes in a religion but will bat their hand at heavily-supported scientific theories, and that person will probably never understand me,... but mostly all of the people who are religious and do trust those theories would hate me for thinking they are all like this one nut-job and hate him for giving them a bad name. Religion isn't the problem, Santorum being evil and using his religion as a shield is the problem. This is a person who believes in an eternal divine paradise for all who are good and follow Jesus's example, do good and good shall be done unto you, and yet he would gleefully trash his own planet for a short term benefit despite all of the dangers and warnings. Christians believe god created man and the earth and all animals, and he wants to shit on everything else just for the benefit of man. If I were religious I'd say he belongs in hell. He is abhorrently selfish and destructive and gives his religion a bad name by using it to justify himself. His comments here, his comments on camera about assassinating anyone he deems a threat to the USA, and then spewing patriotic rhetoric nonsense at every chance,... he reminds me of hitler, he's that skewed and deluded. He makes my skin crawl.
