Augmented reality, maybe. Depends on the implementations followed. I'd go all in if I could put on some goggles and see interfaces on the walls of my room, such as a weather tracker and shit. But if you take AR and think "Pokemon GO" or "Nintendo 3DS" or "That stupid McDonalds Monopoly game" then it's going to be a fad that people will go "oh cool" at first and then after a few weeks will go "jesus fuck this chews through so much of my battery to the point where I'm permanently tethered to an outlet"
TBH tho AR is just VR's little brother, and until we can implement it in such a way that we don't have to go out of our way to use it (I'm looking at you 3DS), it still won't be more than a fad.
