I assume the idea here is that the drug mentioned in the article isn't as bad for you as shit like...heroin, which is why you'd want turn to it

Though it can't actually kill you like alcohol and benzo withdrawl can, it is important to wean someone off.

Fight all hard drugs with weed. Problem solved.

Ive been doing this for years, get an urge to smoke pot so i go and pack a bowl and burn it down and BAM no more urges.

It's good they have a very safe drug that can wean people off their addiction. As far as I remember, they used to use other dangerous opioids to do the weaning, but now they've got a drug that the user cannot OD from. Judging from a lot of these posts, I don't think most people watched the video and are just assuming it is the typical weening off with another dangerous drug. The same is true of extreme alcohol addiction.
