I wonder, how much can a human do, if he got a fatal bullet wound? For example, many know that if in a shootout, one guy shoots another in the heart and he drops, the dying guy often still has enough power to lift a gun and shoot his killer.
Considering only those shots that would kill a person unless threated immediately, this seems to depend on willpower and stamina, so one guy would just fall down and bleed to death, and other would be able to dial ambulance, and sometimes you can keep walking for a minute with six holes in you.
Sometimes bullet holes are not fatal, even if they hit a vital organ, and sometimes they don't hit anything important, but often people die of blood loss anyway.
So, what does Facepunch doctor say about bullet wounds?
Well, if you get shot in the stomach, you can stay alive for 15-20min at the most
Well, depending on how much pain the person in question can take, and how much strength they have after being shot, and where they were shot, probably the most they could do is crawl away, or MAYBE shoot once more. Unless shot in a less vital area.
Respawn in 15.
Depends where you're shot. A torso shot is pretty deadly.
depends are where you are shot. If it's a Bonified fatal shot, you will most likely die very quickly, and in the heat of the battle, if your going down, your major thought right then and there is "holy shit i'm hit" and probably not "MUST SHOOT GUY OVER THERE"
if you get shot in the ballsack you will be practically paralyzed with pain.
it was ridiculously sore getting hit in the balls with a ruler, so you know
If your shot in a non lethal place, like your leg/foot, even your stomach (like a very specific place on the stomach) you can probably live and still have enough energy to maybe limp your way to a hospital or to get help.

Cops use pressure/key points in the body like joint to take down perps using neutralizing shots. Shoulder, elbows, knees, feet, hands
Hit B to Respawn
stomach is a pretty general term don't you think
no
Not much.
stomach is a pretty general term don't you think
You just said heart and lungs. Are they not organs?
The pain would probably incapacitate you, unless your adrenaline holds out for long enough for you to escape the danger.
movies are stupid, you die when you get hit pretty much anywhere. The heart, the lungs, even the bladder
nooooo.....
Getting shot =/= death. But like getting shot in your breast plate/ chest = strong chance of death.
Hell you can even survive a headshot, most people who commit suicide that way do it via the temple, which is livable actually, i think Kurt Cobain tried and lived that way. What ya need to do is put the gun pointing up tothe roof of your mouth in the mouth.
ITT Facepunchers think they're ballistic specialists.
lol i just taught someone how to properly off themselves.

nah really just me, and from me reading alot of shit about weapons/ shit.

Uh, Kurt Cobain's head popped like a balloon.
Well a factor none of you are considering. Getting shot with a marshmellow gun in the head wont do as much as a Raging bull bigass handcannon!
if you get shot in the chest you have to preasure it so the lungs do not collaps aparently.
Uh, Kurt Cobain's head popped like a balloon.
ahh quite right. I knew he had a botched suicide attempt then finished off with a shotgun. Just found out the botched one was a failed OD.
Get someone to shoot you in various spots then report back to us.
there's like a 0.014 chance of surviving that. And if you live you're most probably brain damaged 2 da maxx
Ehh you won't really be incredibly retarded, you'll most likely be blinded though, seeing as they say that your eyes will explode/ rupture if you're shot there. (I have no clue how that's possibly :tinfoil:
[editline]11:58AM[/editline]
well you will probably have adverse brain affects. No doubt about that.

Well, if you get shot in an organ, there's the chance it could rupture, or burst, and leaving whatever cavity that organ is located in filled with the inside contents of that organ, which isn't good for you OR your body.
At least, I think. I still have to go to medical school ok
It's hugely variable.
It depends on a number of factors, where you are shot, the extent of the damage/wound channel , how fast you are bleeding, willpower, etc.
A shot to the CV systems (lungs, heart) is almost always fatal and almost always induces nervous system failure/overload, which drops people fast/renders them unable to fight.
However, there are still a number of variables for any given situation. There was a case in iraq where a US soldier struck an enemy with approx 5-7 rounds. The enemy dropped his rifle, stumbled over and fell down, staggered back to his feet, staggered over to a nearby swingset, sat down on the swing and just sat there bleeding to death.
Movies and games mislead people into believing you insta "die" when shot. What people fail to understand is in real firefights, while combatants may be rendered "combat ineffective" (this is a term used to describe an enemy who cannot fight back/fire his weapon) after 1 or 2 shots, they are not infact, outright dead most of the time.

Lobotomies aren't great for your general health.
The one place that is guaranteed to kill without the killed person being able to perform any motor functions, volountarily or otherwise, is a triangular area with the points of it being the eyes and the nose, his that area and you'll destroy the part of the brain controlling motor functions.
what if you're shot in the foot?
you may have to lose the foot
you have to factor in a few things
1) shot in the foot with what
2) what part of the foot was shot, ankle? big toe?
I present you,

Dragons breath.' A exotic ammo type for any shotgun. Uses phospherus and magnesuem to create a huge ass fuck fireball of ultamate death. Shoot this at your head or torso at close to point blank is pretty much a 99% percent your fucked chance.
Just imagine this in a auto shotgun
If you get shot in the heart, I think you will die very fast, if not instantly.
