Just today it was announced that prog band Coheed & Cambria will release their fifth album, titled Year of the Black Rainbow, in April of 2010. The album will come also as a deluxe edition, which also includes a 300+ page novel written by frontman Claudio Sanchez. The album itself is a prequel to the Amory Wars saga narrated in the rest of Co&Ca's albums.

NWFT wasn't [B]that[/B] bad. There was a little more left to be desired, but I liked it in the context of the first 3 albums.
I do hope this is better though. It's the last album they're doing about the Amory Wars, so they better make it count.

From what Claudio has said, apparently it's rather melodic.
I've loved all of Coheed's stuff, good stuff to jam to. They used to be my favorite band when I was younger. I listened to "The Crowing," "A Favor House Atlantic," and "Blood Red Summer" countless times.
I have no doubt that this will be just as great, hopefully better, than their other albums.
I fucking love Coheed. I hope this album tops all of their others, but it's hard to beat in keep secrets of silent earth.
