I don't know if it's just me, but I am getting fucking SICK of these dumb ass 3D movies. First off, I don't even like 3D that much. I guess it's okay, but movies are good without 3D.
Now, I never complained before. I saw my few 3D movies and didn't like them, so I stuck to all the normal movies that weren't in 3D. But after leaving the movie theatre like 3 days ago, all I saw was 3D bullshit posters. I saw avatar in 3D, and once in 2D, and despite thinking the movie wasn't that good in the first place, the 2D version beat the 3D one by a long shot.

It's so the studios can get a better profit:attendance ratio. Once they see people aren't willing to pay $15 to see a film they'll stop. (this would mean multiple expensive films failing to make a good profit)

Pfft, bollocks, i have a lazy eye, and really badly, and i can see 3D absolutley fine.
As Roger Ebert said, you'll never see a serious drama in 3D. In its current form it's quite overrated, but they earn more if people watch 3D movies.

I prefer movies when they're in 3d. I wouldn't want them all to be like that though.
I don't mind 3D, but I hate it when they use it as a gimmick to get people to watch it. I don't think anyone would watch a stupid movie like Piranha 3D if it wasn't 3D.
I have nothing against 3D
What I do have something against, is me spenting $2600 on my living room with a high-def sony TV, media center, expensive wiring (I know I'm an idiot, digital is the same on all cables), Yamaha surround amplifier, speakers, everything, and now when watching 1080p squeezed onto a 40" TV my sister replies "It looks really great" followed by "I wish it was 3D"

Meh, tried for ages to find an argument about why 3D doesn't look better, but simply going "It's the fucking same but this has less blurr and plastic glasses" just won't do to me.
Heck the movie theatre we saw Avatar 3D in used a 1080p source, so the only difference is my TV's size and the movie theatre displaying it in 3D
I guess I'll either have to get a 3DTV or watch movies by myself. :sweatdrop:

3D is a fad just like 3D animation was when it first came out. Give it some time and it'll be used more tastefully.
