It would be nice if I could read any breed name on that picture.
I located corgis, that's all I care about.
There's two interesting documentaries on the US Netflix about dogs, iirc one mostly leans towards behavioral studies whereas the other makes an attempt at explaining why they have so much flexibility on their characteristics.

The article has closeups of at least some sections.
german shepard best dog.
Less of a family tree and more of a maze. As far as I can see, there's no common ancestor to start with and just lines connecting shit.
I fail to see how this is a family tree, looks more like a poster that categorizes all common dog breeds
That's not a family tree at all. The German Shepard for example comes from the Wolf.
Every dog came from a long distant wolf relative.
but where did wolf's come from.?
I see little indication of relation. The great dane and the Siberian Husky are right next to one another, but share basically no common lineage, as far as I am aware.
Furthermore Domestic dog has been made several times from "scratch" so to speak. They were domesticated from wolves at several points in human history in different locations. It is entirely possibly for dogs to share no common ancestor BUT the wolf.
Just glancing through, many of these seem to be geographically and historically impossible.
yay pitbulls <3

They're basically the friendliest bears on the planet. I would get one myself if I didn't live in the Florida heat.
Beaucerons are underrated as fuck.

Would not recommend for people who are inactive or have small yards, also around children they can be a hassle because both breeds are herding dogs that herd by nipping ankles.
xoloitzcuintli? What kind of weird fucking dog is deserving of such a name?

Oh.
What about the Bichien Frise, yes they be smaller dogs but they really are great dogs, not yippy, friendly, and they are mousers, instincfully go after mice, never had to teach ours a thing and he's caught a few mice on his own

I've got an old english sheepdog-newfoundland mix and he's really quite adorable. Doesn't bite strangers, rarely barks...
