Desktop Turns into blank blue screen and can't open windows

I am on my dad's computer at the moment. Anyway, I was just strolling Facepunch when all of the sudden a bunch of those stupid fake scamming virus protection things started popping up. I got mad and stuff, but then when I closed FP, my desktop turned into a blank blue screen. I got mad and tried to do a system restore. I have restarted me PC many times and nothing! When I try to restore, I can open the Control Panel, but then I can't open anything else without it opening within half a second and closeing. I can log out useing the start button, but nothing else. Please help!

Also, I tried Task Manager (ctrl+alt+delete) and it said:

^^^ How? I'm not good with computers man. I don't have any CD's that came with it because I got it back in 2002.

You'd have to buy a CD then. Have you tried the other steps already anyways?

My friend has something i think is similar, he launch's explorer.exe because the computer wont load it automatically, however i dont know how you could do that without using task manager.

failing that, take that guys advice and reinstall windows

oh and, have you tired booting in safe mode? f8 at startup.

If you already have a legit copy, you're allowed to torrent the install CD
