Prime Minister Tony Abbott has announced his new cabinet at a press conference on Sunday afternoon.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott has promoted Peter Dutton to immigration and moved Scott Morrison into social services in a much bigger ministerial reshuffle than expected.
Mr Abbott announced his new look team in Canberra on Sunday, saying it would "reset and refocus the government for the coming year".
"This is a ministry for jobs and families and it is a sign that this is a government which wants the economy and the budget to be front and centre in the coming year," he told reporters in Canberra.
The Prime Minister announced that Scott Morrison would be "promoted to the Minister for Social Services."
He said this is an "absolutely critical domestic portfolio".
Sussan Ley has been promoted into cabinet as the Minister for Health and Minister for Sport.
Josh Frydenberg will be the new assistant treasurer.
Ian Macfarlane will become Industry and Science Minister.
Kelly O'Dwyer will become Parliamentary Secretary to Treasurer.
Minister for Defence Senator David Johnston has been demoted from cabinet.
More to come....

We've got a Minister for Science again!
Nice title.
We're screwed nonetheless anyway, as most of the damage has been dealt already. I can see why they're moving Morrison to Social Services minister (aka centrelink), just so he can crack down on centrelink bludgers while at the same time avoid accountability for the fuck ups and human rights abuses in the department of immigration & border protection.
As for David Johnston, he shouldn't even have been put into the Defence portolio to begin with.
In a nutshell, this will make no difference to the multitude of screw-ups by the Liberal-National coalition because the lack of co-operation & understanding between both cabinet ministers and their respective department's bureaucrats and also between the government as a whole entity with the general public.
Nice title.
I'd actually venture farther and say that's one of the best title's I've seen in a very long time
loose cunts sink ships
abbott seems like the kind of guy who'd make cunts dry-heave more than anything
Then you write, "Oh, they're just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic." First of all, that is a terrible metaphor. This administration is not sinking. This administration is soaring. If anything, they are rearranging the deck chairs on the Hindenburg. -Colbert
Don't know what he was thinking by putting Morrison in Social Services.
