I take it those rating it late are thinking that this is 'old news' and 'we've known this forever', and they haven't actually read the article.
Looks really ugly
I thought this was obvious?

We've known this for literally decades.
If anything this news article just informs me that there was a myth about disease extinction.

Hail to the king.
Further background checks on the Scientists who have studied this is that they specialize in the department of "Captain Obvious".
imagine if you were the last of your kind and no one could understand you. all alone with no one to talk to in your little cage
It's not the fact that they're extinct.
The article's saying that it was previously thought they died from disease, but researchers are now just proving it was man
I was hoping that it was a new specimen, and that it proves the Tasmanian Tiger is still out there....
Isn't this the creepy weird doglike monster that can open it's mouth up to almost 180 degrees?

I think thats the kind of animals that gave us deep inate nightmares in the night, killing it off didn't stop the fear though.
I did a diorama about the taz in 2nd grade, it was cool
i remember when i was a little kid, and, being a huge fan of ty, decided to do some research on the tasmanian tiger.
when i learned they were extinct, i was sad. then one night after coming home with my folks from having pizza, i started fucking crying because oh my god they're all gone. i will never see a live tasmanian tiger. and that's kinda sad.
