I loved the first Dead Island, I hope this one delivers.
Nice DLC.
Honestly for a new game I fail to see what's worth the price tag.
but this is exactly the same
i thought they'd atleast update the GUI.
I'm not really one for new games using the same engine and all, but if it delivers the same experience as the first one with some changes and fixes then it's all good. Doesn't look like they have done much though.
I hope you can turn off the goddamn voice-chat this time. It pretty much forced us to use the horrid in-game voice-chat instead of Mumble etc. We couldn't make out what others were saying most of the time.
Eh, I'll end up getting it. Through all of it's flaws, Dead Island was fun as shit for me.

You could turn it off in the first one.

I doubt it, seems more something integrated into the core gameplay, but if they really care about the people playing they'll change it
This really does look more like DLC than a new game, the first game came out in 2011, would of thought at least the textures would look better.
I don't care what people say, most of the people said the first one sucked while the minority really had fun with it. I am going to be thinking the same with this one since it is probably gonna just as fun, or perhaps even more fun, unless there is some kind of exception, which I personally think is unlikely.
Well if it is the same engine that means I will still have horrid audio problems, Surround sound headsets do not mix well with these games apparently.

I thought they would update the GUI in all of the half life's too man
who cares if its the same shit, the only thing I'll care about is if its priced at $85.95 again like the first game because that's too expensive for the same shit
in this one they made guns more viable and common as a weapon class. so the gun slinger whatever has more of a fucking use :v:.
I enjoyed the first Dead Island so much because of how bad everything was, spent most of the time laughing. I'll get it when it's on sale for like 8$, this just looks like a DLC.
I hope they at least fixed that awful mouse sensitivity shit.
Whats with Deep Silver and releasing glorified DLC recently?
It's Left 4 Dead 2 all over again.
I wonder if they blatantly ripped all the gun models from Call of Juarez like last time.
already looks better than the walking dead

yeah left 4 dead 2 was so bad!!!!!
yeah left 4 dead 2 was so bad!!!!!
I mean it's pretty much a standalone DLC, but of course Left 4 Dead 2 was Valve so that makes it better.

It is bad right now, actually, but that's not the point.
The first Dead Island was uninteresting enough to have me give up at endgame. The only reason I got that far is because I had nothing better to do.
I was missing out on the cooperative play, so maybe it's better that way.
But otherwise, I really don't like dead island, and riptide looks really terrible to me.

Why boxes? Opposing Force and Blue Shift were originally expansion packs, and they install Half-Life even if you bought OpFor or Blue Shift on their own on Steam.
