I'm doing a bachelor of multimedia at university and one of my mandatory courses is computer visualisation and image creation, which I need to use illustrator and photoshop in. I don't like drawing with a mouse.
I was looking to buy a cheap graphics tablet for less than $200, any suggestions? I've looked at some online but I was wondering if anyone here has a tablet they could recommend.
Apparently the ones at Monoprice are good but I've never used one
They're an absolute shitload cheaper than the wacom ones though

With a pricetag to boot. (well if you want one that's got a drawing area large enough to be useful)
Definitely go for a wacom, pretty much everything else I've come across has been terrible. The white bamboo fun tablets are great for starting out. I got the largest one for about 100 euros 4 years ago, I'm not sure how much it's going for now. If you're heavily into digital art you might want to invest in an intuos 4.
Do you need something simple to sketch or one with a screen?
Probably just for sketching.
Wacom is pretty much the only option. The tablets they make are leagues ahead of competitors
Bamboo Pen should do you just fine.
