Could someone help me out?
I have a computer that I put together myself and runs fine, but whenever I try to install Windows Service Pack 3 my computer breaks, and when it breaks I try to start it up and it just immediatly shuts down, why is this happening?
Faulty RAM maybe?
Have you installed Visual C++ 2008, the newest .NET framework, and all that jargon? (I forgot if they're installed in the SP3 update already).

All that crap isn't loaded at boot and wouldn't cause it to not boot fully.
Try moving your PC to a cooler place, or checking if the soldering in your PC is still solid
