LAS VEGAS — There are reports of some kind of incident involving as many as 33 victims on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday night, and police have reportedly closed Las Vegas Boulevard near Planet Hollywood and Paris Hotel. CNN’s Steve Brusk reports details are scarce but that police have closed Las Vegas Boulevard near Paris Hotel and Planet Hollywood. He later stated police are calling the event a “major accident” and stated the Las Vegas Review Journal reports a car drove through a crowd of pedestrians and injured more than 20 people. Brusk later tweeted that Nevada Highway Patrol tells the CNN News desk that a vehicle has “run down as many as 20 pedestrians in front of the Paris Hotel.” KTNV Reporter Jacqui Heinrich states police tell her that 33 people were taken to hospitals after a driver hit a group on the Las Vegas Strip. She also stated a police source said one person is dead and four others are in critical condition.
http://fox13now.com/2015/12/20/reports-police-close-las-vegas-boulevard-sources-indicate-numerous-people-hit-by-car/ Pretty amazing sight [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CWuH8FgUAAArAAL.jpg[/t]
Sheesh. The driver has to have been intoxicated to do that.
Sheesh. The driver has to have been intoxicated to do that.
tbh even if you were piss drunk you would stop after hitting the first person
tbh even if you were piss drunk you would stop after hitting the first person
They were grouped together, so depending on the speed I don't think the driver would stop in time. We'll have to see when more details are given

"We are treating this as an intentional act." The driver, who is in her 20s, went on the sidewalk at least three or four times, according to Zimmerman.
She even had her kid in the car while running people over, this is insanity. It's like when that woman tried ramming the Whitehouse gate with her kid in the car.
http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/21/us/las-vegas-strip-pedestrians-hit/
It's kinda sad that people are jumping at shadows nowadays when it comes to anything bad happening.
What an absolute fucking moron. Revoke license for life and give her some decades behind a door.
Was she a moron, or did she have some other mental problems? There is a difference. I'm not trying to shoehorn sympathy for her but "stupid" isn't an accurate or insightful way to look into the situation.
What the fuck is wrong with people?
Running over 40+ people, then doing it again, going out to look several times, isn't excused by anything else than pure stupidity.
It's not excusable period, but don't call it "stupid". Calling it stupid is looking at the outside and not giving enough of a shit to look any deeper and figure out what's actually going on. Can you prove that this wasn't an act of insanity? How are you so sure that it's straight up stupidity and mere negligence for driving laws? You said it yourself - she's looking at the damage she's causing, and instead of getting out of her car or stopping what she's doing, she's on loop. She's looking dead into the eyes of the people she's running over with a kid in the back seat while they scream and plead for her to stop. That sounds like a mental problem to me. If we find out that she's intoxicated, then I'm willing to call it flat out stupid. But until then, let's withhold that specific judgement and just say that the situation sucks and something is wrong with her. [editline]21st December 2015[/editline] [t]https://d2lzghgvw1jtbn.cloudfront.net/event_updates/1/10153361638585765.jpg[/t] That's the corner, apparently. [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CWu-8cEXIAAWruu.jpg:large[/t] And here's the car.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/las-vegas-strip-crash-driver-identified-as-lakeisha-holloway/ New facts: - No alcohol, but possibly under some sort of stimulant. - Moved to Vegas a week ago and had since lived in her car with her child. - Explicitly not an accident. Totally intentional. Terrorism can't be ruled out, apparently (I think that's just because they don't have a definitive answer for her motive anyhow) So there's pretty much two ideas to roll with: she was drugged out of her mind and/or in an unhinged, potentially depressed mental state.
