Im currently in the process of receiving a new 1TB drive. So I was was wondering if its better, speed wise, to install windows on a separate hard drive and have all my applications and what not on my TB drive?
Thanks
The speed would not be much higher, though a possible small increase.
It would make it easier to reinstall windows and not applications, but of course all the shortcuts and what not for the applications would be gone.
I personally use one partition for windows only, one for programs and assorted, and a separate drive for music and game backups.
If you have a second spare HDD install Windows on it, the speed should be a bit faster if you have Windows and the programs you are running on different HDDs, not noticeably unless you have an SSD though.
