Hello Facepunch!
I’ve had some free time lately and I’ve decided to develop a new Garry’s Mod file sharing site. I’ve decided that it was a good time to release my site at a beta stage so people can test it and give me feedback on what they like and what needs tweaked!
The idea is to have something that’s easy to use with fast uploads and downloads. I think that’s what I’ve accomplished here! I’ve compared uploads and downloads to garrysmod.org and I’ve noted a substantial increase in speed. :)
Mind you, this is still in a :siren:[I]beta stage[/I]:siren: and is [B][I]*almost*[/I][/B] done. Keep that in mind, as there may be a few bugs that you encounter during your ‘journey’ of downloading from the site since I wrote the entire site by hand to ensure top performance. :P

What I could suggest is categories of some sort. But tags are gonna work the same way.

Yeah, what I was going to do was use the tags to gather the data.

Nope. I wrote the entire thing.
Just uses PHP for processing and MySQL for the backend--getting data, etc.
I applaud your efforts and hope the bandwidth doesn't drive you broke :P
Also, is there going to be some [i]reliable[/i] way to report stolen, leaked, and harmful files? Garry doesn't really have the time to check them properly on garrysmod.org.
Oh, and what will your policy on SVN's be? Perhaps you could add a way to "upload" a link to an SVN and have some help file to enlighten noobs on the subject? It always bugs me when people upload others' SVNs as zips, particularly when they're unstable, to garrysmod.org.

Haha, why thank you, and I think I'm well covered. :P
For a report button, I have that coming, I'll probably add it later tonight or early tomorrow. It'll be like the post reporting. Just click the image and give me a reason and I'll review it.
I also need to go ahead and create a Q&A page as well as a general overview so we don't have stupid stuff happening.
For SVNs, I'm working on an individual 'user' page where you're able to modify and change existing files as you release updates. I'm also quite fed up with the people posting duplicates on garrysmod.org and it seems like there's just about two of everything. :P
