Hey,
Recently I overclocked my graphics card 85 megahertz above stock (I know next to nothing about overclocking) and then attempted to run a Crysis benchmark. My screen blacked out.
I rebooted the computer and turned off the overclock, there is no longer anything overclocked. The computer is fine apart from the fact that every now and again (there appears to be no scheduled time) the screen will just go black. It's a little annoying and just happened again. It goes black for about a second.
No overclock is currently in use.

Does anyone know how to stop these random blackouts, they're a little annoying. Also, how do I check my card has actually had the overclock removed?
How did you apply the overclock?
ATi Overdrive at first. Then I turned that off following a recommendation from a friend and used some MSI tool. The MSI tool has been removed and the ATi Overdrive turned off.
I have the same problem, Im on a Nividia 2600
I read up on this and the 4890 is an just an overclocked 4870 therefore wont overclock very well at all.
And dont you have to give the card more power via the bios?

Read: Overclock has been turned off and it's still doing it.

Reinstalled drivers and it hasn't done it as of yet.
