Some people simply can’t get over the hump. I caught up with Apple CEO Tim Cook, who was in town to participate in an Hour of Code event, to take his temperature on the $99 iPhone 6 and 6s case, with the noticeable battery pack hump on its back. We asked Cook if he is excited about the hump. “You know, I probably wouldn’t call it ‘the hump,'” said Cook, who added he was aware of the comments surrounding the Smart Battery Case.
He then proceeded to say absolutely nothing about the hump
Cook really lacks the charisma of Jobs, but I don't think that even that could salvage the situation.
Looks more like a tumor than a hump. A very, very low-density battery tumor.

I'm more shocked about their price for performance in this one. I know Apple likes to be expensive but 99$ or the 120€ (130$) it costs here is just out of proportion. 1877 mAh for 120€ is just stupid even for Apple standards.
Of course it's not a hump. It's the iHump™ Real talk though, this feels like a half assed money grab more than anything.
My big problem with this is that it reeks of amateur design, as if it was created by some rinky-dink art student instead of a company that is famous for having excellent industrial design. Nothing looks interesting, or is integrated into the phone in any way like the little 5c cases were, which were colorful and fun and matched the theme of the phone. I already saw this in the Watch, with its curved and shiny body that seems dripping with the first-gen iPhone's umbilical fluid. Maybe this is a product of Cook's lack of charisma, but I think that's too easy to attribute to a company that has been this large and successful for quite a while.

I think the real issue is that Mophie somehow has a patent for how the case separates on the top rather than the bottom, so Apple engineered around that without actually considering the implications.

It isn't even as bulky as you might think. Totals to $114.86 Heck, you can scrap the jump cable and just use the Micro USB cable that comes with the solar panel. That's a lot of value and practicality for $64.87.
*Depending on where you live :v:
We all know that what Apple really is doing is creating an infinite power source by connecting a dynamo to Jobs' spinning corpse.
I probably wouldn’t call it 'the hump'
Alright everyone, let's call it the iHump!
It's the Apple Hump, you know they don't use the i anymore. Apple Watch, Apple Pencil... Apple Hump.

i have absolutely no idea why they didn't just.make it so the hump took up the.entire back of the phone so it was atleast uniform if thicker on average
