This is mildly hilarious and really shines a light on the school of assassins. Here's the thread containing news prior to their arrest: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1028550-Inside-the-dark-legacy-of-the-US-School-of-Assassins
Its because their Russian.
I thought only the Axis of Evil nations accosts protesters and journalists like this? :downs:
People who went on to commit crimes? Graduating? From a military academy? EETS AN OOOUUUTRAAAGE! [/Republican] [editline]21st November 2010[/editline] Such is life in America.
Looks like a relic from the Cold War.
I like RT. You can get either the left or the right from American news but you never hear the other side like this.
I like RT. You can get either the left or the right from American news but you never hear the other side like this.
RT has some good stuff. I just wish they'd do some coverage of the issues that goes on in Russia nowadays too, then they could be all-covering.
They still have some unimportant ( But interesting ) daily news from Russia that you wouldn't have to give a fuck about because you don't live there. I also like RT, except for that Keiser prick that has his own show everyday. Jesus he's an annoying dick.

I think manuel noriega and several other latin american dictators graduated from there
I like RT. You can get either the left or the right from American news but you never hear the other side like this.
So long as Putin doesn't push them out a 12th story window.
This kind of seems like a case of "Hitler breathed oxygen, and so does obama.........HES A NAZI." but not as extreme. What's the % of actual graduates that went on to do things that aren't genocides and massacres?

This is a school specifically to train foreign individuals to assassinate, stage coups, run governments, etc.

It's not like they're putting the blame on this base just because notorious war criminals have graduated from there. They're practically teaching soldiers how to be war criminals from what I understand.

Others were deployed to help with overthrowing democratically elected regimes that were marked by the US foreign department- say Chile under Allende- and then subsequently installing a dictatorship to ensure that Chile didn't deviate again. Or the case with Contras against the Sandinistas. Hell, more recently the School of the Americas trained some of the Mexican forces in anticipation of unrest that would occur in Mexico following NAFTA's passage. As expected a rebellion did break out in the form of the EZLN rebellion in the southern part of Mexico. After this was resolved, much of these SoA-trained recruits recognized the value and advantage of their training, and feeling the Mexican government wasn't paying them enough, decided to try their hand in crime and ultimately drugs. These guys became Las Zetas gang that is causing a lot of trouble right now. Amusingly you now have more recently trained-SoA specialists fighting SoA-trained Zetas, and typically this causes an abnormal amount of civilian casualties for those unfortunate to be caught between the two.
I like how she says "Fadaral" and "tortra"
General lisp. Methinks she's a Russian that learned English as a second language.

Gayane Chichakyan isn't a very good reporter
Gayane Chichakyan isn't a very good reporter
On a side note. All of the reporters, anchormen, and corespondents in RT are strikingly gorgeous.
Amazing.
On a side note. If it's not for beauty it's for the impression that they are knowledgeable and/or approachable.
RT has some good stuff. I just wish they'd do some coverage of the issues that goes on in Russia nowadays too, then they could be all-covering.
The main highlight is always the Russia Parade. Great stuff.
I'd like to go to that college.

I came into this thread expecting footage of like a high-school full of People wearing white hoodies and free-running all over. I have been let down. :smith:
