So I recently received an Apevia X-QPack case. Alot of the reviews say to use an outside power supply, but I don't know what to look for.
Heres the parts I'm thinking of using http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rKRnwP
I don't know what would be a good MicroATX motherboard and video card, but I'm going to be using it for gaming and 3d modeling.
Yes, the PSU is an IED. I have one of those cases for my router and I never used the included PSU because it was so awful. You'll also want to get a different rear 120mm fan because the included one is terrible. It barely moves any air at full speed and stuff inside the case will start getting really hot.
I got a CoolerMaster Sickleflow fan and have it reversed so it blows into the case. Then I made a shroud so it blows down onto the CPU heatsink and a small duct to cool the hard drive cage which works pretty well.

The whole case is overpriced for what it is really, but if you can get them for free or cheap then they're usable.
What are some good PSU models?
Cooler Master, Antec, Thermaltake, Silver Stone, Seasonic, Corsair.
I usually use Cooler Master, Antec and Thermaltake myself.

Alright, I've decided to go with the Gigabyte GA-Z97MX-Gaming 5 motherboard.
Now I cant decide wether to go with an EVGA SuperNOVA 750 or Seasonic SS-660XP2 ATX PSU...
You can't use tower coolers in the Apevia case, there's not enough room.
SeaSonic it is then
No he meant you can't use the 212 Evo in that case
Oh... what might be a good replacement then?
Something flat like this:

I'm not sure how much clearance there is between the motherboard and the braces in the middle of the case because I never checked. I know an AM3 stock heatsink with the heatpipes will fit since that's what I'm using.
You could also look into the Noctua NH-C14 or N12. They're certainly more expensive, but I've heard good things about the cooling for their size depending on what you want to do with that 4690k
