EA has been voted the "worst company in America" two years running in an online poll by Consumerist magazine, and comments posted by gamers to other sites - complaining of "price gouging" and "arrogance" - confirm many dislike it.
Speaking to the BBC, Frank Gibeau, EA's president of labels, acknowledges his firm has an image problem.
"That type of feedback is disappointing personally for people inside of EA because we love our company and the games that we make," he says.
"We're in the business of entertaining and exciting people, and when our business policies get in the way of that and we hear this reaction and see this feedback we have to take note of it. We're not tone deaf."

Snipped out.
EA CLEARLY cares about their customers.
Solution, stop doing things that makes people hate you.
No-brainer, really.
I was going to post this 2 days ago, but didn't because it didn't seem very new. Just EA confused at why they're so unpopular.
lmao these polls are stupid and the people who vote on them are stupid but EA is just as stupid for taking them seriously
Microsoft is being a real bro and trying to get gamers off their backs
Their decision to use 2 standardized engines is actually pretty interesting, I'd like to see a lot more cool stuff from Frostbite
I still find it incredibly silly how a fucking video game company won Worst Company in America rather than shit like AT&T or Bank of America or any of the equally as terrible and awful companies.
I mean yeah EA did some stupid and fucked up shit, but not anywhere near as bad as BoA
Because peoples opinions differ from yours.
its not that people hate them for making good games....its just 99% of the time they release half-done or resource stripped projects, then make up some excuse as to why their product is shoddy. Sims,Spore,Simcity5,CommandandConquer, all games that were hyped and were moving along fairly well until the last few months before launch where most developers would spend polishing, EA spends the time slashing the staff leaving their games buggy and full of incomplete features
How to stop being hated 99:
stop treating your customers like shit and stop treating them like they will steal everything.
next week's class is rebuilding trust 99
they aren't the only ones, bethesda does it too, but EA has a bad track record of doing it consistantly
Because peoples opinions differ from yours.
Well if that's the case then fuck their opinion, it's a video game company not Hell come to Earth
Their decision to use 2 standardized engines is actually pretty interesting, I'd like to see a lot more cool stuff from Frostbite
so far I've heard you say ''half life isn't that good'' and ''frostbite is good and games that use it are cool''. I'm definitely going to stop and read when I see that picture from now on
Their decision to use 2 standardized engines is actually pretty interesting, I'd like to see a lot more cool stuff from Frostbite
What is the other one?
'Please don't hate us' said EA as they buried the raped corpses of Simcity and Medal of honor.
What is the other one?
Ignite, their sports games engine
I still find it incredibly silly how a fucking video game company won Worst Company in America rather than shit like AT&T or Bank of America or any of the equally as terrible and awful companies.

It's not like it was a serious vote that would officially declare a company the worst company in the world. At least EA is likely to notice unlike those other companies.
Why am I supposed to hate EA again?
come back to steam please i don't want to use origin
Why am I supposed to hate EA again?
Day one DLC, banning consumers who express their dislike for a game on their forums, dodgy DRM practices like the whole spore debacle.
Why am I supposed to hate EA again?
The colored failure that was the ME3 ending?
so far I've heard you say ''half life isn't that good'' and ''frostbite is good and games that use it are cool''. I'm definitely going to stop and read when I see that picture from now on
Did you not see the BF4 game play at E3? The stuff they've done is amazing, and it's dumb to think that Frostbite is a bad engine just because you don't like some of their games. And so what if I don't like Half Life? It's not fun in my opinion, who cares, you can still like it
What is the other one?
The Ignite engine, but that's for sports games, so I'm less enthusiastic about it :p

The audience that was aware of the poll was mostly gamers, causing the vote among the gamers to be much stronger than that of any other group. If this had been a poll advertised on all the mainstream media websites, I'm sure you'd have a much more accurate feel for the company that sucks.

Oh boy, here we go again
Oh boy, here we go again
You know it's true.
EA doesn't hate players
They're just incredibly out-of-touch with a sizable chunk of their target consumers
You know it's true.
I know it's taking a silly poll on the internet too serious
[editline]13th June 2013[/editline]
and furthermore an opinion that feels like an annoying song put on repeat for far too many hours
So my boyfriend just tried to buy me some bioware points to get the ME3 DLC
Yeah, neither of us could find a way too. Perfect timing for this to pop up, because right now both of us are pretty agitated.
Solution, stop doing things that makes people hate you.

Im thinking that they are starting to do more good things imho.
I mean, Mirror's Edge 2, Battlefront 3, and a demo that makes BF4 look good (albeit still making me cautious of the game.)? I think thats pretty good.
I think the only thing people should take in mind while buying their games though is that they like doing that "Premium" thing for their games so waiting for a "Premium Edition" or a "Special Edition" would be the best idea when buying one of their games, as opposed to going and buying one of their games a few days after it came out.
However, I still think EA should improve its relationship with its employees, and it should also listen to it's consumers more than it's "shareholders", and finally EA should really stop using the "our vision" excuse when they screw up a game (Like SimCity).
Other than that, they are alright in the end.
