Paul Hellyer, who has long insisted that aliens have visited Earth for many years, says that when aliens saw the atomic bomb they decided that we were a great threat to the cosmos.

In an interview with Russia Today, Hellyer explained (as if it was obvious): "Of course, there's been a lot more activity in the last few decades."
The reason for this, he said, was that man was stupid enough to invent the atomic bomb. Aliens are frightened that we're going to use it again (and again) and that this will affect the whole balance of the cosmos.
Ergo, each visit seems to have symbolized: "What the hell are they doing in that insane asylum today?"
Hellyer suggested that there are Edward Snowden-style whistleblowers who have already revealed government knowledge of alien visits. "It doesn't take long to get your hands on it," he said.
Hellyer is perhaps less convincing about his own experience with UFOs. He claims to have seen one, but when asked what it was like he said: "It just looks like a star."
Hellyer used to believe that there were between 2 and 12 different species of alien. Now, he says he's received reports that there might be as many as 80.
At this point, you'll be worried about whether these aliens are mean-spirited. Hellyer said that only one or two species might be threatening. He didn't mention whether they spoke Klingon.
The aliens would, it seems, like to teach us better ways to live. Hellyer believes, though, that they are waiting for our consent. Moreover, they're scared that if they revealed themselves we'd throw a conniption.
Honestly, it's as if these aliens have never seen a single sci-fi show. We've been begging them to sort us out for many a year.
You'll be wondering, though, about their technology. The aliens are "light years" ahead of us. And, apparently, "a lot of the things we use today, we got from them."
Ah, that's why it's called the Samsung Galaxy.

As if they wouldn't have that technology too.
Y'know honestly I wouldn't doubt it.
If aliens really did see our atomic bombs go off for the first time, whilst the idea if giving us more technology was being juggled around in their head, they probably would've said "fuck no" afterwords.
That would imply aliens are above war.
Who knows, maybe they'd look at us and be all "Holy shit they turned atoms into bombs, we should totally make these guys our allies"
Reminds me of this :v:

I'm pretty sure that any alien species that was able to develop interstellar travel likely had its own fun times with fissile materials.

Fuck's sake, they're dumb. Lets find a different planet that has a species like us."
they should be afraid i say. we have Exterminatus-capable technology, just no means to deliver it yet
yes, fear us, xenos filth
yeah
like an alien race would never possibly have some even worse then a thermonuclear weapon?
I wish I could take this for more than the ramblings of a demented old man. I really do. Seeing aliens contact Earth is my life dream. I don't care if it ends with our complete destruction - I can die happy knowing that we're not alone in the Universe.

What is unlikely however is that we've ever been visited by another species. But yeah, most likely there is plenty of life elsewhere in universe.
If he were to provide but one shred of solid evidence to support any of what he's said about aliens over the years, I wouldn't laugh at him.
As it stands, I'm just laughing at him and feeling guilty for laughing at someone's ornery old grandpa who just happened to once occupy a key role in national defense and it fed delusions of scifi adventure novels.

It's as good as an excuse as any to stop wars, but I don't think it's gonna persuade anyone.

Suffer not the heretics to live.
Poor guy went cuckoo with age

Yeah, I know, I know, but it's one thing to know and another thing to know...

I disagree, we have over 17 thousand nukes and only used two and that was when they were still new and humanity was stupid(er).
I sort of agree, I would imagine aliens would be scared of us if they saw the situations of war we have had in the past. Not just nuclear weapons, but everything in general we have done. But to be honest this guy sounds kind of like a nut-job. :v:

Why would aliens be scared of us if obviously they'd be far more technologically advanced?
War experience doesn't matter shit if you have better tech

Says the guy into furry.

I do have to wonder why there are several astronauts (or ex astronauts rather) from agencies such as NASA who have talked about genuine UFO sightings (not spaceships, necessary, but literally UFO sightings as in the original terms of the word), and even at times about aliens.
I mean, astronauts have got to be fucking smart, mentally stable people. They've got to go through several psyche evaluations to be considered fit for space travel. They don't strike me as the kind of people to go around making up bullshit, so... why do they say these things? Is there a shred of truth to the things some astronauts say in regards to these things?
Of course this guy I wouldn't take as seriously, but when I hear multiple NASA astonauts talk about alleged UFO sightings or about knowledge on alien existence I have to wonder if they're telling the truth, and if not... why? What do they stand to gain from lying?
Says the guy into furry.
Personal attacks aren't going to make you any friends, you know.
[sp]"Says the guy into MLP hurr"[/sp]
The next "expert" on Ancient Aliens, calling it.

Why assume they haven't had similar experiences in their history? They likely have. Not to mention they basically HAVE to have gone through the same technological developments we have at some point in their history, so they'd almost certainly have developed something akin to atomic bombs.

Also, just because you may start off psychologically stable doesn't mean you remain that way.
It's funny because it doesn't even sound that crazy if you compare his statement with for example, Edgar aldrins, Gary mckinnons or Ben richs. A lot of ex CIA, NASA and NSA people say the same.
Remember 1% of all UFO sightings are left unexplained.

It's easy to say they're crazy but there tons of testimonys and if you would watch some of them, these people really aren't crazy. Maybe they've been lied to but I'm sure not all of them are just crazed.

Really? That's a personal attack? Hah, and yet he's calling some man he doesn't know a nut job? That isn't a personal attack either. And I really don't give a shit about your obsession with My Little Pony, you don't go outside wearing a fox tail and fox ears, pretending to be something you're not.

Plenty of people like to assume aliens must be peaceful egalitarians who would be simply horrified by how we act. When in reality, they're probably just as bad as us.
Remember 1% of all UFO sightings are left unexplained.
And its proves literally nothing at all.
I am an alien sleeper agent monitoring your social media. And I can confirm this is 100% true.

They're not vague statements they're giving away classified info. The released files from the CIA are also worth a look if you want. www.cia.gov
But it doesn't sound like you're actually interested and you just want to argue your point.
The UFO phenomenon gets too much ridicule because "hurr durr aliens".
Says the guy into furry.
Ha ha so original man
I'd say it's not improbable that aliens could see us warring and just decide NOPE

The UFO "phenomenon" gets ridiculed because it is ridiculous. It has no backing whatsoever. Just because a few former government officials may go "ALIENS" doesn't mean shit unless they can put up verifiable evidence.
Ha ha so original man

Here's the real question, why does it matter that this guy even has this opinion? Right? What gives this guy the right to say he's a nutjob, when he himself is into furry which by the way guess what... most people would think he was the nutjob. None the less, you guys seem very butt hurt by me sticking up for some guy none of you guys even know. So before you start saying stuff, think about your life first.
EDIT:
I really dislike people like you guys, quick to judge but if someone judges you... GOD FORBID!
