• Paul Manafort "Mailing it in", Trump Campaign Staff Suicidal.
Donald Trump's behavior in recent days, from criticizing the parents of a fallen American soldier to declining to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan, has strained the nerves of his campaign staff as he falls behind in the polls. I exchanged messages Tuesday evening with a longtime ally of Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, whom I asked about who was calling the shots in the campaign. The response indicated that Manafort, a veteran of Republican politics brought in this spring for the transition from primaries to the general election, has lost control over his candidate. "Manafort not challenging (Trump) anymore," Manafort's ally wrote. "Mailing it in. Staff suicidal."

Strains between candidates and their staffs are commonplace in stressful moments of presidential campaigns. But Trump's campaign is unusual for the candidate's singular control over its daily message, which thwarts attempts at traditional discipline. Trump's freewheeling style won him the Republican nomination over a crowded field of rivals. But the general election environment, and target audience, is far different. The bombastic billionaire appeared to recognize that by jettisoning his first campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, now a commentator on CNN. Manafort's experience in national politics had reassured Republican veterans that a fall Trump campaign would more closely resemble the norms of recent presidential campaigns Yet the recent Republican convention, marred by controversy and a high-profile speech in which primary rival Ted Cruz declined to endorse the nominee, was not up to recent Republican standards. And Trump's extended skirmishing with the parents of fallen U.S. soldier Capt. Humayun Khan, among other controversies, has caused increasing numbers of Republicans to criticize the party's candidate.
http://www.cnbc.com/2016/08/02/ally-of-trump-staffer-paul-manafort-the-staff-is-suicidal-hes-mailing-it-in.html ... There's talks of Key GOP figures abandoning Trump.
ABC put out an article detailing that the GOP is looking for replacements for TRUMP cause they're afraid he's so crazy he might drop out at any point.
Might as well just skip to hillary's inauguration at this point tbh
Is he actually trying to win at this point or is he slowly trying to leave the race?
ABC put out an article detailing that the GOP is looking for replacements for TRUMP cause they're afraid he's so crazy he might drop out at any point.
The party will probably grow a sizable faction in the leadership which will want that. But there does exist a chance that at some point they're going to fracture and form a more refreshed party (Great New Party? Federal Party? States' Party?). That way they could put forward a more in-line leader than Trump, ESPECIALLY if he keeps fighting with the leadership up into autumn. Downside of course would be that traditionally conservative parties would either get wrecked by the Democrats, or just lose out due to people sticking to the Republican brand provided it doesn't implode hard enough to only revolve around Trump and his tight loyalist group. But that's politics and political branding for you.
The GOP has made their bed, and now gets to lie in it for at least 4 years. Potentially 8, depending on how well Clinton does.
Might as well just skip to hillary's inauguration at this point tbh
Lets not rule it out just yet, trump could always sell his soul to lord Satan and win in a land slide
It relieves me to know that his campaign is finally sinking itself
Lets not rule it out just yet, trump could always sell his soul to lord Satan and win in a land slide
trump doesnt sell things trump builds things trump would more likely buy land in hell and build a big beautiful building in hell before he sold his soul because selling is for loosers and trumps a winner, maybe not his so called opponents, theyre all loosers but trump is a winner so of course historys largest fattest most ironic pie to the face may very well be delivered november 8th if he keeps up his 'winning' campaign
It relieves me to know that his campaign is finally sinking itself
like most of his businesses do
It relieves me to know that his campaign is finally sinking itself
nationalism isn't going anywhere
ABC put out an article detailing that the GOP is looking for replacements for TRUMP cause they're afraid he's so crazy he might drop out at any point.
Some other sites reported on this with a very sensationalist headline.
ABC News Drops Bombshell: Trump Might Drop Out Of 2016 Race
http://usuncut.com/politics/republicans-exploring-trump-drop-out/ That headline is spreading on Facebook.
The increasingly nervous man might finally be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Trump's poll numbers have collapsed and, with more than 90% of former Sanders supporters now united behind Clinton, it's possible that this is really the end - not that he'll drop out, but that there's no way back from this. Or maybe he'll recover by next week.
Regardless of what happens to Trump I am really glad the GOP is falling apart. Wish the same would happen to the Democratic party
wait what? In less then a week Trump went from getting the lead in the polls over Clinton to not having a chance at winning? I am fine with that but its a little hard to believe.
Regardless of what happens to Trump I am really glad the GOP is falling apart. Wish the same would happen to the Democratic party
^ Butthurt Trump voter. Also, americans, why are your elections such a over-complicated and dramatic mess?
^ Butthurt Trump voter. Also, americans, why are your elections such a over-complicated and dramatic mess?
We were the first modern democracy, we did a lot of stuff poorly in the early days and haven't modernized enough. I blame indirect FPTP voting for a lot of it.
I hope his campaign falls apart soon. He should never get anywhere near the oval office.
ABC put out an article detailing that the GOP is looking for replacements for TRUMP cause they're afraid he's so crazy he might drop out at any point.
Would there really even be a chance for anyone replacing Trump and joining the race with three months left of the election?
ABC put out an article detailing that the GOP is looking for replacements for TRUMP cause they're afraid he's so crazy he might drop out at any point.
I absolutely love the idea that the GOP has managed to fuck itself so badly that they've actually nominated a candidate who might actually drop out of the race at any given moment. [editline]3rd August 2016[/editline]
Might as well just skip to hillary's inauguration at this point tbh
I just want Trump to roast her in some debates first, then we can pull him off stage with a big wooden cane and melt him down into glue or whatever they do with horses. Attacking a dead soldier's mother is a big no-no, I'm surprised that was the straw that broke the camel's back, but it seems his row with the Khan family is dragging him down pretty deep.
