Today, I bring you a sad Scandinavian moose story to break the chain of funny Scandinavian moose stories I've been posting. (Like this & this)
Translated by hand;
A moose had to pay with his life after it had bewildered itself into the third floor of the parking garage of a shopping center in Lørenskog, Norway on Thursday.
The moose first entered in the first floor and started running up to the higher floors, where it was both frightened and stressed, Romerikes Blad reports.
In the end the moose jumped down several meters, where it got trapped in a small corridor-like part of the parking garage, and there was no option left but to put it to sleep.
- The moose was said to be acting aggressively when it ran into the parking garage, and we wouldn't be able to get it out alive without the possibility of it injuring people or vehicles, Steinar Skrapnord from the woodland guard said.
They had to shoot the moose three times before it died, but there are no reports of injuries of any people.
Keep in mind, this stuff has happened before. Check out this video from 2010 where a moose went shopping in KIWI;

put it to sleep 3 times with a gun
Mmm, delicious
put it to sleep 3 times with a gun
This is how I go to sleep every night.
What a rotten way to die.
Kinda unnecessary kill, though. Don't they have animal tranquilisers in Norway?
They really need to teach their meese better than to go shopping on a Thursday, it's just asking for trouble.
Poor moose..
Though I understand that they had to put it down as it was acting aggressively.
He just wanted to check out that sale at JC Penny's. :c
Why not use tranq darts?

You're a brit, and you don't know the plural of moose..

Doesn't seem like it. Same here in Sweden. A moose got stuck on
So they killed it . . .

He was hurt after jumping off the building.
The 3 shots didn't hit the moose, only 2 did. First one hit him in the face (Or the nose), and the second one missed completely, the third one was fired at 4 meters, with a slug round.
Also, I've been to that mall! There's a forest going around the entire thing :v:
Man, Scandinavia sounds like it isn't experienced with the correct way to incapacitate a moose, which is strange since moose are common in those regions.
Although I guess the whole jumping from a height factored into the points for euthanising it. But did it REALLY need 3 shots? Is moose-skull really that thick and bulletproof, or did they forget to go for the nerve centre? If the former, then they should probably consider making helmets out of moose skulls.

All this talk about Moose is making me hungry.

Who can shoot a moose and sleep at night? Moose are awesome.
Obviously this was an invasion attempt by Canada.

Actually the guy just missed thrice, according to brainmaster.

"Moose, prep your antlers! We have lost many moose for this intel, this is our shot! This is hour hour! This is when Canada takes over!"
"Mooah!"
What a rotten way to die.
What a shame.

The man was a lousy shooter.
I don't really think people in this thread really understand what a moose is.
They are huge, finnicky creatures that could easily kill a person and have a reputation for doing so. Putting it down was the good call here, would have been no different than if it was a bear or a lion.
would have been no different than if it was a bear or a lion.
To be honest, moose are scarier than lions and bears, as lions mostly leave you alone and bears aren't aggresive unless they have cubs or are very hungry.
Moose however, are just massive plant-eating clumsy fucktards who would just walk into you and trample you to death.
Its a short article I'm surprised some of you didn't read it and just started posting

Bears are actually pretty fucking aggressive. If you see one, chances are that you're in its territory and it's going to maul your ass to death.

Not if you keep a safe distance, move with caution and stay silent. Unless you've taken a bath in salmon guts you're pretty safe.

Dat's de joke.

Well shit.
I once met a moose in the woods. He ran away like a fucking pussy.
(So did I...)
Wow, i cant believe people are actually talking about a dead moose and posting moose jokes
