What should I be using to jailbreak my iTouch?

So, I'm getting one for Christmas, and I almost don't have a clue on what to do.

Do I have to upgrade any Firmware, or anything like that? Also, what do I use to actually Jailbreak it?

If you are getting one for Christmas then it will have the newest firmware which is fine. Then you should download Blackra1n and use that to jailbreak it. Its quite simple even though I couldn't get it to work the first time I tried. I got it to work by putting blackra1n.exe in my c: drive which is what people were telling me to do.
And go for it cause getting free apps is nice.

^before you do that, research a bit and find out what firmware Blackra1n supports and make sure you have it or you could end up wasting a ton of time.
