Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is slated to begin airing the first ads of his general election campaign on Friday, according to a top adviser. The Wall Street Journal reports that the ad buy was brought up in a conference call with Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort and two other staffers on Tuesday afternoon. The Trump aides reportedly informed about 50 members of Congress that Trump would air ads starting Friday in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Those are key battleground states where polls have recently shown Hillary Clinton ahead. She leads Trump nationally by an average of about 7 points, according to RealClearPolitics. Lawmakers were told that Trump's campaign would begin buying ads more widely next month, according to the Journal.
Source: http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/291668-trump-to-start-airing-first-general-election-tv-ads-this Edit: too little too late, especially if Trump is going to overshadow them.
How is Pennsylvania a battleground state? Doesn't Hillary lead him there by like 10 points?
How is Pennsylvania a battleground state? Doesn't Hillary lead him there by like 10 points?
It's still a swing state, but is in Clinton's Firewall.
I hope these are as hilarious as the last ones
It's still a swing state, but is in Clinton's Firewall.
It just seems weird to call it a battleground when Clinton is doing better there than Trump is in Texas.
I thought the title here would say he would resign lol
Yeah, anyone still calling it a battleground state is insane. Literally the only time Trump ever had a chance there was right after the RNC, before that and since the DNC he's been too far behind to compete in PA.
Also Florida, Marist (an A+ rating Pollster) has him down 9 points
Pennsylvania is as much of a battleground state as Minnesota is - not at all. Hillary's got huge margins there. Trump should be fighting for Arizona and Georgia at this point, not Pennsylvania or Florida. He's losing so hard he needs to claw back ground from states that are leaning more strongly in his favor before he goes after "battleground" states that are almost double-digit blue.
Trump has previously said he wants to win New York and motherfucking California so buying ads in Pennsylvania is pretty sensible by comparison
How is Pennsylvania a battleground state? Doesn't Hillary lead him there by like 10 points?
it was supposed to be one but with trump's abysmal ratings with minorities and unfavorability even Pittsburgh won't save him. His message would resonate well with the left side of the state but its the other half that he cannot win
the_donald is saying that this is where they'll defeat hilldog :v: They're also saying they're going to flip New Jersey somehow, which I find fucking hilarious.
I can't wait to hear his attack ad bullshit on the news every morning at work.

I hope they're like his previous ones where its equally likely that they're a sarcastic joke making fun of him than being an authentic legitimate ad.
