I wonder if there will be any more console exclusive fighters.
If it doesn't have Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee I'm going to feel utterly betrayed. At least have Machoke or Machamp as grapples.

Personally i'd be more than a little miffed if they seriously manage to have two different Pikachu fighters but no Conkeldurr.
some fighters like weavile and suicune are neat but if you expect them to add any pokemon that would make sense for this game, like hitmonlee/chan or fucking hawlucha or any other cool pokemon that never had a spotlight before, then prepare to be disappointed
Take away the Lucha Libre Pikachu and give me Hawlucha, then I'll buy your game.
Give me shuckle or I'll kill meself
Don't add anymore trash Pokemon and put in more 1st generation :ok:
They added a Luchadore Pikachu instead of Hawlucha?

every anime fighter
tekken
dead or alive until recently
marvel vs capcom
list goes on
No Emboar? Come on Ninty, don't let me down.
I really want Marowak, but I don't think it'll make the cut. I can see Sylveon or Mewtwo making it, though.
Pokémon fighting game
Only one Flighting type Pokémon
Adds a wrestler Pokémon
It's another pikachu and not Hawlucha
Dicks to you Nintendo
Did Machamp just pull a Fist of the North Star at 1:18?
i was expecting a new pokemon stadium type game :(
Looks boring
Looks boring
Well, it's just a flashy Pokémon reskin of Tekken with a few Street Fighter clones thrown in as well.
The movement looks a bit clunky and restricted.
This looks like exactly what the Pokemon franchise needs, but I'm not sure that the execution will be good enough

Yeah, like "pile of slime", "pokeball" and "eggs".
I always wanted a Pokémon game like this, I've gone far as to wishing that the Combat in the main games were like this.
Kinda disappointed no Bisharp. Or Scyther. At least there's Gengar.
I've always wanted a pokemon game like this. I wonder if they plan on adding more pokemon in the future?
Poor decision in my opinion. I think a Pokemon Stadium sequel turn-based game will fare better with Nintendo's younger audience while gathering the older crowd with nostalgia.
The purpose of Pokemon Stadium was to have Pokemon fight in 3D. Pokemon X, Y, OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire all do that so there is no reason for another Stadium-type game.
whens dunsparce
I'm not sure I agree. Those are all portable titles, not to mention the minigame aspect of Pokemon Stadium. There was a lot of fun stuff to do other than just battle. It was a completely different atmosphere compared to the story-based games, even when 3D battle is included. Not to mention the 3D experience on a 3DS is definitely limited when compared to a console.
I think Pokemon Stadium would work perfectly with the gamepad, where you could use it to choose attacks and do minigame activities. Would work well with local and online multiplayer. Hopefully it's something they'll put forth in the future but I doubt it since it'd be too similar to this game.
But that's the thing. That was the entire point. I mean absolutely, the mini-games were hella fun and they did put in a lot of neat extras. However that is still something that can be done on the 3DS. There really isn't a reason for a console version.
Sure, the 3DS is obviously nowhere near a modern console in terms of power. But in terms of the turn based gameplay which is Pokemon, it doesn't really hinder it. After all, we enjoyed the Pokemon Stadium games on the N64, which is far inferior to the 3DS in pretty much every way. The poor performance in the 6th gen I believe is more from poor optimization in the engine/models. And I'm sure the next games in the series will coded to take advantage of the N3DS hardware.
Honestly I would go for another Pokemon Stadium if all of the Pokemon had the amount of detail put into them as the ones in Pokken Fighters. Other games aren't really willing to add any details that weren't already in the extremely simplistic sprite work, so Pokemon X/Y are about as much detail as those models are going to get, aside from additional smoothing. One of my favorite things about Pokken Fighters is that it's adding actual details to Pokemon to make them look like living creatures. Details like fur textures and musculature (look at Charizard for instance, actual pectorals and deltoid muscles). It'd be cool to see all the Pokemon with details like that.
All the fucking mocap tho :x
i know i know hawlucha would be cooler than pikachu BUT seeing pikachu doing a fucking pile driver into a wrestling ring is pretty great
You people do realize that there will most likely be more Pokémon by the time the game comes out right? They probably still have a lot of time between now and when the game is supposed to come out to release them.
So from the looks of it, does this play like a smaller-scale J-Stars game?
