Its either getting a new map every 3-4 months or having to wait a whole year to get everything in one go. I for one actually like the episodic model a bit since i bought the Italian level for like 8 euro and i know that there are a few maps that are not that fun which i would get if it became dirt cheap, this sale i also got Istanbul
Awesome! I was hoping the Square Enix/IO split wouldn't hurt them too bad, good to see they're still able to keep producing content. It's a solid game, one of my favorites.
I wish they would go a separate season 2 way. To add more meaningful changes to the game. The performance is hit and miss with every update and if they keep this up for season 2 and 3, where they put in more and more new things, it will feel bloated at one point since it's all in one game.

Even the old games only connected the missions with a threadbare framing device. The over arching stories of the games also don't amount to much that would shake up the world too much.

The performance was fucked a lot of times with Season 1 already. I often had huuuge framedrops after certain updates and before it was running well. Keeping everything the same but doing it kind of like Telltale by having each season just being a separate build. They can keep gameplay and story the same obviously. After a while it will feel convoluted and it will probably affect the performance.

Telltale games have the benefit of mostly being a self-contained story per season along with an overarching story to tie the seasons together, and all HITMAN™ really has is the latter, so it'd be pretty out of place to have a separated Season 2 that takes place like a week after Season 1.
It mildly annoys me when people use the name of the product to refer to the company that makes it. "HALF-LIFE TALKS ABOUT NEW STEAM UI UPDATES" "GRAND THEFT AUTO V UNVEILS NEW DLC UPDATES" "OVERWATCH RELEASES NEW HEROES OF THE STORM CONTENT"
Only one of those were really accurate depictions, because the first and last are two unrelated products, not one product being updated or anything.
