I hate the taste of tap water and bottled water was getting a bit expensive so about 2 weeks ago I went out and bought a Brita water filter pitcher like this:

I was kinda skeptical about these things at first, but the only way I can describe these things is fucking amazing. It can filter like 40 gallons on one filter and they're only like $5 a piece. The water tastes great, even better than bottled water, and if it's any testament to that I went from drinking on average about a 12 pack of Sun Drop a week and now I've been 2 weeks or so without drinking a single one.
They make filters for your faucet and fridge and everything so go get one, and experience this awesomeness.
I prefer Tap water...

Yeah now read the thread and you'll realise it is tap water. We use these and they're pretty good, they make tea taste loads better.

Filters are amazing. When I came here to England I found that most houses didnt have a built in filter like most houses in the states. I just wish they held more water because its good for 2-3 cups for me. ( I drink a lot of water)

I understand that you didn't actually read the OP, so let me clarify it for you. These things take all the taste-like-shit chemicals out of your tap water via carbon filters and leave you with clean water. The chemicals have already done their job by the point that the water comes out of your faucet so there is no reason for them to be in the water when you drink it.
Also, water very much has a flavor. If you haven't noticed this then there's something seriously wrong with your tastebuds, go see a doctor.
Sounds cool, might go out and buy it this week.

tastes bad and its unhealthy for you. same thing with Bottled water. Tap water is actually more healthy because if something is wrong with the water the government will let you know. Bottled Water companies just throw it out there to consume and then you have to worry about BPA poisoning.
I've never really understood the taste difference thing. A quite large chunk of bottled water companies use a public water supply anyway

My mam got a gigantic water filter installed under our sink a few years back, I didn't really notice any change in the taste, but now when I drink someone else's tapwater, I almost gag at the smell and taste of chlorine.

Almost all manufactured foods have traces of nasty crap in it. I'm guessing water is the same way.
Example: Chocolate
Anyways, Water is Water as long as it doesn't kill you or make you sick. Tap water has done neither of those things to me, so I don't need any expensive filters.
They are ok, but we just buy sports bottles fill them with water and leave them in the fridge untill you want one. Tastes fine to me

did you know most food companies add red dye to their meat packaging to make it look more juicy and healthy like blood? it has a vivid red look to it and blood actually would make the meat look rusty colored if it was left out that long. fucking disgusting when I heard about it.
