Yes or do I have to buy it separately?
the heatsink comes with pre applied compound
If you get the retail version, yes.
the heatsink comes with pre applied compound
What he said ^
I personally have the 955 and it does indeed come with thermal paste preapplied. Depending on the motherboard the heatsink might need some force to get on though.
Get a new cpu cooler aswell like Hyper 212 plus

I know it may sound dumb but what is Push/pull?? does it make it so your CPU cooler takes out and shoots out air? like hot air out cold in? Whats wrong with that CPU water cooler?
bundled watercoolers aren't that impressive, and push/pull is where you have 2 fans on either side, making a continuous stream of air and cooling better [editline]11:50PM[/editline] like so
one fan pushes air into the heatsink, one fan pulls it out
one fan pushes air into the heatsink, one fan pulls it out
that bascially
OH i see i was looking at it as if one fan would be lying on the CPU and i was like WTF? But it would stand so the headsink is lying on it. I see... Also i was wondering would there be any point upgrading a CPU fan to a faster one or would that just be pointless?
well if you are going push pull its better to have the same fan because 2 fans with 2 different air flows become more of a hinderence than a help
i dont mean for push pull But can you turn a hyper 212plus into a push pull or would that not work?
yes it comes with 2 extra fan clips
ANOTHER QUESTION: Could this Power Supply handle this GPU? PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139008 GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150462 Someone recommended the PSU to me but the GPU says a 450 Watt power supply is required.
I dont think so... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017 49.99 after rebate... cant miss that deal
should be fine
Yeh but why get that 400w one when you could get a OCZ 600w one for 3 $ cheaper and free shipping?
True. But is the OCZ as efficient as the Corsair?
OCZ is as efficient.. a 400w Corsair is not as powerful as a 600w OCZ? its not like ocz is some generic cheap shitty one really. [editline]01:59AM[/editline] + its modular and sli/xfire ready
I guess I'll go with the OCZ then. $3 cheaper, huzzah!
I dont think so... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017 49.99 after rebate... cant miss that deal
only $4 more for the 700W (taking rebate into account) and some random free gift, pretty worth it if you ask me http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018
only $4 more for the 700W (taking rebate into account) and some random free gift, pretty worth it if you ask me http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018
Damn thats a good price
one fan pushes air into the heatsink, one fan pulls it out
I'd imagine it being both fans blow in, maximizing air in it?
xfire ready
crossfire bro
dont, please, get 2 good fans and push/pull your 212+
Why, whats wrong with the H50?
I'd imagine it being both fans blow in, maximizing air in it?
both fans are moving air in the same direction... pushes air in from one side and pulls i out from the other [editline]09:58AM[/editline]
only $4 more for the 700W (taking rebate into account) and some random free gift, pretty worth it if you ask me http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018
the price changed fuuuccckkk
Why, whats wrong with the H50?
Nothing, its the best all in one watercooling kit, and is better than most normal heatsinks.
Hah, 700 Watts is overkill for what I'm building anyway. Thanks for all the help though, guys!
