Users can gain access to movies, music and other entertainment in an illegal way, without paying, via other users, with the condition that they themselves deliver material on the site. It can be difficult to find material that few have but many are interested in, and therefore many users, including young children, have resorted to delivering porn onto the site. Myalt22 would be rich then
Hello, I'd like to take out a loan.
Just shove them to some public tracker like Pirate Bay, that'll fix it. They can get on the fancy private trackers when they get older.
I didn't know the press was THIS stupid around here. At least the comments section seems sane. Unlike on other websites.
The free market in action.
Hello, I'd like to take out a loan.
I'm pretty sure that even if we Icelanders would build our entire economy around porn, we'd still find a way to crash it.
Sounds kinda like 4chan.
I didn't know the press was THIS stupid around here.At least the comments section seems sane. Unlike on other websites.
Anyone here feel like translating some of the comments, i'd be interested to see what they say
Trickle-down pornonomics.
The invisible hairy palm of the free market.
Anyone here feel like translating some of the comments, i'd be interested to see what they say
The comment with the most likes says: "This is one of the craziest news story I've read. There's porn on the internet, we know that, no matter if you're on Google or deildu.net. This smells like SMÁÍS." (SMÁÍS is the main anti-piracy alliance in Iceland, they're known for doing pretty ridiculous stuff for their cause) Another reads: "Was waiting for the "Think of the children"-card to be put on the table against deildu, it's always the last resort for desperate people (read: STEF (another anti-piracy group), SMÁÍS). Since they can't bring the site down by their usual means, they follow the old saying; "When all else fails, think of the children!" "Porn should be held away from children, but this story makes no sense. It's sad when reporters stop thinking things critically and copy these "news" from private institutions."
Trickle-down pornonomics.
Bukkake.
i think it's actually interesting how an endlessly inflatable currency can still be used to buy things minor things to be sure but porn as a medium of exchange does happen
Who's gonna trade me some strip teases for this DP now? The market's just gone to shit!
Who's gonna trade me some strip teases for this DP now? The market's just gone to shit!
PM me, I got some really freaky shit back here. All transactions are final and no backsies
The kids are sorted they know how many bitcoins one porn is worth the exchange rate is very favourable.
didn't we have a thread in gd where people baited pedos and made a ton of money off it.
What's the conversion rate
What's the conversion rate
Probably measured in faps
There are known examples of children using pornography as a currency to access other material on the torrent site deildu.net
That's actually some pretty genius wording on their part. They can really fuck up what's actually happening and can technically say they are using porn as currency because of how torrents work. They make it sound like they have kids goin "hey I got porno A you got porno B wanna trade" which is garaunteed to get a metric fuckload of hits, even though all that's happening is people seeding torrents after they are done getting the file. Bravo sensationalism.
What's the conversion rate
Really, some of us might be overnight millionaires.
This article confuses me. Why call porn a currency and not other items things people exchange in return for goods and services? I trade games and Steam and I would not consider video games to be a currency.
Slightly used bike, only 3 pornographies!
didn't we have a thread in gd where people baited pedos and made a ton of money off it.
That and e-whoring where people sold packs of photos of a single girl to people over random chat websites.
i frequent the site deildu.net and was not aware of this method of exchange, this sounds like a load of crap to me
didn't we have a thread in gd where people baited pedos and made a ton of money off it.
do tell
do tell
http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1100782
Hey you guys I'm in need of a new GPU, but I've got some sweet Japanese tentacle porn I can pay you with [editline]4th June 2013[/editline] half now half after I get the card
i frequent the site deildu.net and was not aware of this method of exchange, this sounds like a load of crap to me
I'm also a user there. It's not a "method of exchange" per say, it's just that the more you upload and the higher ratio you have, you can download more. If you upload porn and it gets downloaded a lot, you have a higher ratio and can therefore download more. Our press (or the anti-piracy institutions that told this to the press) are just sensationalizing this so that it seems like young kids are giving porn to people and getting movies/music/etc. in return.
