Doesn't it have multiplayer? The steam page says it has Multiplayer and Local Co-op.

It isn't even the "~retro~" look you are referencing. You're probably talking about the minimal effort "8-bit" indie games, correct? It's just 2d isometric with sprites, while I don't really watch the show or know much about the game it seems you are bashing it just for the sake of it.

The page itself says Local Co-Op. I mean, Wayforward's not done any games with online multiplayer, I think. It's kind of a bad idea for a game like this on PC, but it's probably a console port in that regard anyway so.. Yeah.

I got this for Wii U. The first 9 levels are drag a bit, but things pick up after that. My only complaint is the characters run a little slow. And of course a lack of online multiplayer, but this feels more like a friends-on-the-couch multiplayer game anyway.
I'd give it a 7.5/10. The price is a little much, but hey, fans of Adventure Time will want it, and at least it isn't $60 like most new games lately.

I've only seen a few episodes, but the nonsense that goes on in the adventure time series feels natural because the show just rolls with it, they don't really stop everything and go "Hey look guys this is SO silly! I mean hell LOOK AT HOW RANDOM WE ARE" it feels more like the 90s cartoons were shit was weird because that's how things are.
Plus I feel the Adventure time series takes a lot of notes from video games, specifically dungeon crawlers, so to see things come full circle is kinda funny.
A lot of the random parts are either actually really well thought out and often serve a purpose in the narrative, or at least done with some manner of depth to them.

I love Twin Peaks, but I'm going to be quite honest, the fuck purpose did it serve for Josie to get sucked into a fucking cabinet's handle?
Also, animated or not, they're both great pieces of the weird. Cognitive Dissonance is a core piece of the weird. Take, Coopers first dream, it is completely out of the blue but its important later on in the story. Adventure time does the same thing, sometimes it spans a few episodes, other times its the entire point of the episode.
Would you agree that watching two episodes of Twin Peaks, then saying its bad and making a judgement on is wrong? If you say yes, [B]how the bleeding fuck can you say a show with 148 episodes is bad when you watched two.[/B]

I don't feel like Twin Peaks or Adventure Time feel like random, it's mostly just very peculiar characters with weird habits told in an unusual way. I never felt like anything was truly random. There is more depth and thought behind it.
Both are not really comparable but I wouldn't calling them random.
