Which one is better in your opinion, Eminem, or Lil' Wayne?
Both terrible, but I'd pick Eminem because he doesn't sound like a Vietnam War vet with a speech impedment.
They're both skilled, but I like Lil Wayne's recent songs more than Eminem's new stuff.
No contest; Eminem.
Old Eminem > All
I like Weezy's voice.
Let's get Tyler the Creator in here and watch both these guys burn.
i have to agree with the old eminem train of thought.
he was seriously fucking amazing back then, in my opinion wayne cannot compare to that stuff from way back when.
What has Wayne wrote worth a cent? Most of his songs are about girls or money.. Eminem have some pretty strong lyrical songs.
he can have a beastly flow at times

but em can have a much better flow, and some of his songs he delivers lines with such power there's really no comparison. he's good at harnessing all his pent up emotions and letting it rip on the mic
If I had to choose, Eminem.
If I didn't have to. Neither.
TYLER THE CREATOR
This is like saying which is better, gonorrhea or syphilis
Eminem is better because he has songs with meaning, not just "Poppin bottles, throwing money at hoes" and shit.
I have two Eminem CD's
The Eminem Show and Encore

His first 2 are better than both of those.
Wasn't this a thread a while ago?

Eminem does a lot of conscious rap actually. Although IMO that doesn't make a good MC.
Oh, no. I know. But as soon as he hit Relapse, he sucked for me. It's really a shame.

Is that supposed to be a conscious example? As far as I know Eminem has never made conscious rap.
Eminem used to make thought-provoking introspective rap. Not really holistically socially conscious though.

He had great character.
8 Mile was a good movie. Now he's a bit less edgier than he was, it's okay but i can see myself growing away from his music now.

I agree entirely. Although I was never what an elitist might call a "true fan". The only thing of his that I own is Curtain Call.
The Marshall Mathers Lp gained great respect in the industry. Rare for such an album.
