US-backed forces in Syria say they now control so-called Islamic State's one-time capital of Raqqa, with only a few dozen militants remaining in the city. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said they had retaken al-Naim square, where IS once held public executions. The official declaration that the city has been recaptured is expected soon, a BBC correspondent reports.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-41646802 Essentially the Raqqa stadium and hospital were the last strongholds for ISIS in Raqqa, now that they're gone the city should fall at worst in a few hours.
I thought the YPG were at Raqqa or are the YPG part of the SDF? Or are they sharing it? either which way good stuff. IS need to go
