• Factory Reset for Windows 8

I'm looking to give my computer a factory reset to clean out all the shit inside of it, anything to look out for? I remember reading somewhere that the factory reset function was bugged and would ask for a new copy of Windows even though you didn't need it. I have no personal information on this computer that I want to save, it's just all games. I've got an Asus G75V laptop.
Although I haven't used Windows 8 and I recall it having some sort of a factory reset function, the most reliable way is still to just start a Windows installation, delete and recreate the partitions, install everything from scratch and get everything up to date before you continue. The one thing you should prepare in advance though is the wlan/ethernet drivers in case they aren't supported by the default install.

I have no experience in this sort of stuff and I'd rather not fuck up my gaming computer.

Then put them on a flash drive or CD. Then if you reinstall, and you have no network, you can just reinistall those drivers. It saves a lot of hassle. Then get a Windows 8.1 DVD or put it on a USB flash drive.
