PHILADELPHIA — Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Wednesday said he hoped that Russia would hack into Hillary Clinton’s email server to find “missing” messages and release them to the public.
“Russia, if you’re listening I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press,” Trump said during a press conference at his Doral resort in South Florida on Wednesday.
He turned and said this right to the camera, a political party's nominee saying this basically treason.

I thought the 30000 emails were made publically available on wikileaks?
Next: Trump urging ISIS to attack America so he could win the election.
"Russia please try and find ways into our classified documents!" -Current Presidential Nominee
What else can you say.
“I have nothing to do with Russia! I said that Putin has much better leadership qualities than Obama, but who doesn’t know that,”
I don't think saying you hope something happens is treason, considering he didn't actually commit a crime (unlike Hillary Clinton).
You know it really seems that either side will burn any bridge (Especially ones that comprimise national security) to get brownie points towards presidency.
It used to be a proper challenge towards which nominee would bring better governance, now its just one big pissing match.

Well shit, that's just about the worst way you could respond to such a big opportunity.

Reminds me of a certain female nominee that, y'know, committed an actual crime.

Most of the emails dont have classified information to begin with
And half this forum didn't give a shit that the emails that did have classified information were mishandled and possibly breached when the FBI director testified this and Clinton got off scott free
I'm seeing some real inconsistancies here

Why is it that every time Trump does or says something monumentally stupid (in this case, essentially endorsing a criminal action) people always go "B-b-but Hillary!"
If Clinton drowned puppies by the basketload it still wouldn't be right for the Republican nominee for president to say this.
Actually yeah, minus the classified emails the 30000 are already publicly available as part of the Freedom of Information act. Wikileaks just made them easy to search through

Mishandling information without criminal intent is different than encouraging foreign powers to hack state emails.
If you're going to quote the FBI investigation you'll remember the entire crux of the case was that intent was lacking, something Trump is actually showing on the matter.
Have defenses of Trump now come down 100% to just deflecting away without actually addressing the topic?

Im not defending Trump. The problem starts with Clinton's email incompetance and no one cared when I covered it a month ago during the FBI and AG testimonies because she wasn't found guilty of criminal intent.

I'm not defending Trump, I am addressing the email issue he's referring to.
I'm pretty sure this is sarcasm in response to the claim that Russia was behind the email leak.
Reminds me of a certain female nominee that, y'know, committed an actual crime.
Yes, being in the wrong place at the wrong time and getting hacked is a crime.
What crime did she commit? Using an insecure e-mail server? John Kerry, our current Secretary of State, is the first of his kind of actually use a secure e-mail server.
I guarantee you that if anyone else in her position got hacked and had the same kind of e-mails, no one would bat an eye.

To be fair i'm not entirely sure, I saw other news outlet reporter saying it and I looked up the definition
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
With in that definition I think you could argue treason.

You must have an increasingly narrow view on what defending means then.
You're still trying to deflect even in this reply.

Jesus do you really have to defend every retarded thing Trump says? Just because Clinton couldn't be prosecuted for the email server doesn't mean it's acceptable to say you hope foreign governments obtained her emails. Especially because they were known to include highly confidential information. That's also without getting into the fact he's hoping people hack into the information of his political rivals and release it to hurt them, even if it wasn't at all government related, hacking is still illegal, and he's openly expressing that he hopes a crime were committed against his political rival.
Have we even caught the people that hacked Hillary's e-mails?
We aren't we focusing our attention on them?

Not really.
[editline]27th July 2016[/editline]
And even if it was it would be a dumb thing to say.

Quite frankly I don't think there is anything he could say to make you or the media happy.

thats all ive ever seen him do as well whenever a thread about trump comes up.

On a gradient scale I was happier with Trump before he invited Russia to continue it's cybersecurity attacks in the same speech where he praised Putins leadership, so simply not saying that would have been fine.
Quite frankly I don't think there is anything he could say to make you or the media happy.
He could retract all his statements on repealing the same sex marriage bill, promise no ground war with ISIS, and recognize the importance of foreign relations for a start.
If you watch the video it's blatantly not sarcasm, but keep on shitpostin.

Why would he do that?
He's banking on the uneducated, old redneck votes.

How are you unable to reconcile what feels like blatant sarcasm while probably reconciling "we came, we saw, he died"
It seems like if he says anything like "I hate traffic" the media tries to spin it as "Trump hates all those that stand in his way"

It doesn't "feel like blatant sarcasm", his preamble to the suggestion took the hack seriously as being disrespectful to America.

Glad to see another deflection. How are we meant to take him saying this on top of Putin being a better leader than Obama positively? Do you agree wth him on that?
