I have this 15 inch Macbook Pro and when I power it up the only thing that does not work is the screen, it just stays black. I was thinking it could possibly be the motherboard but if it isn't I was wondering if there is a way I could fix it.
Try to reseat the memory. 90% of the time it powers up fine but with no display, it's that. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1270#link4
