Reminds me of when people knocked over Nazi lampposts to make Milo Yiannopoulos a millionaire over night.
Expert publicist.
Nordstrom's stock rises 4% after throwing off Ivanka's line.
Villa's album goes to #1 after wearing a Trump dress.

kind of self-explanatory
here's a formal news site if you want though:
Sales of Joy Villa’s music has skyrocketed after she wore a pro-Trump dress to the Grammy Awards.
On the red carpet Villa wore a gown of red, white and blue with the words “Make America Great Again” on the front and “Trump” on the back.
After her appearance at the Grammy’s the 25-year-old’s EP “I Make The Static” jumped to number one on Amazon’s top digital albums, and is still there Monday.
She was also climbing the charts on iTunes.
meanwhile at trump tower: hallways too full of albums to move
Clever person, people are so guillible.
quite a bit sensational, its not very uncommon for stars to make a scene at awards just to boost their public profile
Who is this person and why should I care about them
Who is this person and why should I care about them
Who is this person? A musical artist. Musical artists are generally prolific members of the entertainment industry, which is generally considered to be one of the most lucrative business opportunities of the 21st century due to how accessible and popular media is. This musical artist in particular is named Joy Villa, an artist who produces music commonly known as rock.
As for why you should care about her, that is something that people generally refer to as an opinion. People who are appreciative of the genre of music (rock) that Joy Villa produces or those who are fascinated by her lifestyle and thus keep up with it though media generally can be stated to "care about her" as they more often than not purchase her music (as is indicated in the story) and therefore contribute to her success as an entertainer.
Does that answer your question?
no such thing as bad publicity!
A rise of 570,000, that's some serious desperation for validation right there
pretty catchy if generic song
I'm going to start referring to these kind of incidents as Sheep Tax. I expect there to be plenty more.
Well it let me know who she is and not to support her too :^)

Who buys music any more any ways?
She did this just for shock since apparently she did similar shit the past few years.
Imagine being so dull of a person you buy music based on the artist's political beliefs and not their actual music.

But you don't understand, because she wore that dress she's on MY TEAM!!

I have yet to figure out whether liberal Hollywood or people like these are expressing genuine beliefs or just capitalizing on capitalizing on the zeitgeist. I'm not sure which option is more disappointing.
No less than 6 threads on first page of the_donald, 2 of which were pushed to reddit's front page. By pushing the image that diverse people share their moronic viewpoints, they're attempting to create examples to justify their strawmen.
No wonder.

Always assume people are pandering to you. No one is sincere. Ever wonder why social chameleons always popular?
It is not due to their authentic nature, that's for sure.
By allowing one self get "triggered" when someone is forward with their ideas, by censoring them, one ends up creating a society of liars and backstabbers. Its always best to have one's views challenged and society's views challenged because of this.
Not really my style of music but good for her. Hopefully the bump sticks.

Who's to say they bought it just because of political beliefs? Maybe they just really like the music and just weren't aware of her before this publicity stunt.
This made me go look up her music. It's decent I guess.

Lmao, music lucrative? For every rich musician, there is 1000 poor and hardworking musicians that don't get anything. It's just those lucky few that get caught by big publishing company's that make it really big. It's harder to live from music now than there's ever been because of streaming. Most of the money you can make as a musician is from playing concerts and selling merch at said concerts.

If they really liked the music, they would've bought it when it was released 3 years ago.
the_donald is a hell of a drug

The point is that they didn't know of her and this publicity stunt made them check out her music.
Such bald profiteering disgusts me to my core. Fuck artistic integrity, I have the headlines!
watch her come out as a Hilary voter and she's just fucking with them lol
