Paramount announced today that they’ve set the Beverly Hills Cop 4 release date for March 25, 2016. While Detective Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) will be in the title setting for a portion of the film, he’ll be returning to his roots in “America’s Toughest City,” Detroit. Brett Ratner is set to direct the movie with Jerry Bruckheimer producing; Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec are writing the screenplay.
Great, they're shitting on classics again for profit.
The first Beverly Hills Cop movie was great, the second one was mediocre and by the third it was just bad. They need to stop making rehashes of old movies.
Life complete.
I swear to god, if Eddie Murphy is raising one eyebrow in the poster...

I'd honestly rather see them make a sequel than just take the easy route and reboot the franchise.
Not going to lie I didn't even know there was a third one.

can't be axel foley without eddie murphey, and can't be beverly hills cop without axel foley
Well apparently this Brett Ratner guy also directed all the Rush Hour movies. Which you can take as you will, depending on how you feel about them. Personally? I like the movies they had, I just don't think they can do as well without that classic '80s vibe, which I think was half of the serie's atmosphere.
But Beverly Hills Cop III was awful.

You didn't miss much, it was pretty awful.

Oh they Axle Foley without Eddie Murphy, it was called Beverly Hills Cop III.
I don't know who they got to play him that time because he sure as hell looks like Murphy but man he isn't acting like him.
I'd rather see them bring back Beverly Hills Ninja to save, that would be funni-...
Oh yeah...
I love the Beverly Hills films, I'm not sure what to think of this. At least with the old ones they had that 80's vibe.

I was hoping for another one of these:

I wonder if its going to be super serious or if its going to be a cheesy 80's throwback movie. I don't care, I'd still probably go see it.
