(SALEM, Ore.) - The sad news has been confirmed. Jack Herer, author of Emperor Wears No Clothes and renowned around the world for hemp activism, has died at 11:17 a.m. today, in Eugene, Oregon...

Jack Herer's health has been poor lately, this last week there have been reports of the severity, and an outpouring of prayers on his behalf. "It's shocking news, even after these last seven, trying months," said Paul Stanford, THCF Executive Director.
"Jack Herer has been a good friend and associate of mine for over 30 years. I was there when he had the heart attack at our Hempstalk festival and I know he wouldn’t appreciate the quality of life he's endured these last months. Still he will be greatly missed. I honor his memory."

Damn, man down!
One of the most influential figures in the cannabis movement has just passed away. I think we should all pay tribute to this great man who informed the world about the truths of cannabis use, both medically and industrially.
Since his writing of the book, "The Emperor Wears No Clothes", he has been a key figure in the legalise cannabis movement, and we just lost him.

Rest in Peace Jack, you will be missed.

Weed is a plant, therefore you cannot overdose on it.
THC, a substance in weed, is a chemical, and it can indeed be overdosed, however.
On-topic, I respect this guy as a man who died, but his cause is just moronic.

Why moronic?
Why moronic?
Let's see:
He's done practically nothing in his life other than try to encourage people to burn a plant, he's written a nonsensical book, and he thinks he's a hero because he's a stoner.

Being an activist to destroy a stupid law that kills people and wastes money is more important than what you or I have done I'm sure.

You're again, an ignorant fool. Stop commenting on marijuana, you've proven in every topic you've ever been in you have NO knowledge of it.
You can in fact overdose on plant matter. To inform you, you can overdose on psychobillin mushrooms, as it is a slightly more toxic(It does no permanent damage to anything in your body). The LD50 of weed(THC) requires you to smoke some 1500 lbs of it in under 20 minutes. That's physically not possible. Therefore, why do we even talk about the possibility of overdose? It's not there, you can't physically reach it.
His cause is not moronic, no more moronic than your cause to see civil liberties pushed aside.

He was an activist in the same way there was activists to get alcohol re-legalized during the prohibition that killed thousands upon thousands. This is the situation that we are in now, and he was fighting for rights.
You're fighting for people to die and be deprived of their personal and civil rights. Who's cause is more worthless? Yours.
[editline]04:48PM[/editline]
But then again, it is Gmod_Fan77 and I've debated you 5 or 6 times before where you've never even rebuttal-ed more than 1 of 10 points. You're ignorant and don't even try to argue. You just shut out that which you disagree with.
He's my hero, he has a fucking strain of bud! Jack Herer is some really potent shit. It's terrible to see such a great activist die, RIP.

You've done nothing in your life but spam this forum with your ignorant opinions on many things you have absolutely no knowledge of. He's a hero because he had a cause and he followed that cause his entire fucking lifetime. He was devoted. You are an extremely disrespectful git and I think you need a time out in the corner to think about what you've done young fellow.
He's high in heaven now.
Dancing with Gee-Sus and his comrades.
I live in Eugene Oregon! I should go smoke a joint next to his grave.
Big guy's wearing itchy clothes in heaven now.
NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! D: Pot will never get legalized now. WHY!?!?!?!?!?

So fighting for what you beileve in is moronic? And he wasn't encouraging people to smoke pot, he was fighting to legalise it.
All drugs should be legalised they are in Mexico and there's no drug deaths there.
That can't be true, he's sitting right next to me right now.
Him or Jesus, I can't see shit with all this smoke.
All drugs should be legalised they are in Mexico and there's no drug deaths there.
I love how hard you try and argue this, but all you ever do is say stupid shit that makes no sense.
The current mexican drug war has killed at least 22,000 people. Hint: WAR ON DRUGS. That's what's killing people.
Yeah i mean drugs are completely harmless!
Of course not. Did I fucking say that? No. However, a war on drugs will kill more than drugs can ever kill.
The prohibition caused more deaths than alcohol abuse at the time did, the war on drugs kills more people than drug use now does. Why continue it? It's not accomplishing anything, it's simply hurting civil liberties.
