• Bluetooth on Laptop?

Hey guys, so I have a Sony Vaio, not sure what model it is sorry, and I would like to connect my ps3 controller (dualshock 3) and Official Ps3 Mic to it, so i can do commentaries and such. I tried connecting my controller, and it wasn't picked up by the system, so I figure that I need a bluetooth dongle or chip for my laptop. What's a good price for either one of these devices, and if you could, can you direct me to where i can purchase one of them? Just for safety, would there be a way to see if i have a bluetooth thing pre-installed without opening up the laptop?

Any internal installation would involve taking your laptop apart, voiding the warranty and risking damage.
Thanks guys! And to Eamonn, that device that you linked will support my ps3 headset and controller so i dont have to wire them up to my laptop right?
For using the PS3 controller, I recommend this: http://www.motioninjoy.com/ It's free and it works wonderfully and easy to set up. I think the PS3 headset is just a standard bluetooth headset so your computer should pick it up, no problem.
Alright, thank you very much you guys, really appreciate it! Should be back to this section in a few months to build my very first gaming PC. Wait, I actually have a quick question, which would be cheaper, building a gaming PC from scratch, or updating the parts in my Sony Vaio laptop?
Laptops are near impossible to upgrade, build a gaming PC from scratch.
Laptops are near impossible to upgrade, build a gaming PC from scratch.
-snip im retarded- [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] You're going to need two separate bluetooth devices since MotionInJoy has to have exclusive control to use a PS3 controller.
