I did this poem for school, and thought it turned out pretty good.
Dirt
Dirt from the Earth
The color of rust.
His soul is true
And so full of trust.
He holds many secrets
Of those before us.
He tells us the stories
Of those turned to dust.
He hides ancient ruins
Under his skin.
He supports our families
He nurtures our kin.
The life of our world
The blood of the Earth.
It may seem full of death
But it’s really just birth.
interesting.. some parts were cheesy or awkward, such as the last line, but nonetheless i liked it
4/5
If I'd written that I'd be pretty chuffed, so well done. I'm not a poetry expert but I like your poem.
