http://www.suffolk.edu/news/60431.php
Republican businessman Donald Trump is on a roll with likely GOP presidential primary voters, according to a Suffolk University/USA TODAY national poll. Among voters who identify either as Republicans or independents and who plan to vote in their states’ Republican primaries or caucuses, 17 percent named Trump as their first choice for the GOP nomination in the 2016 presidential race. Trump was followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (14 percent), Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (8 percent), Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (6 percent), Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (5 percent), retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson (4 percent), Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (4 percent), former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (4 percent) and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (3 percent). Receiving less than 2 percent each were former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, businesswoman Carly Fiorina, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, and former New York Gov. George Pataki.
It's a 15 person race, you just have to have a few very vocal supporters such as all of arizona
usually, first ahead, last in the end.
You can expect Chris Christie to shoot up into the top 3, but this poll is kind of dumb given that some of these guys only started a couple weeks ago while others have been campaigning for a couple months now. I'm putting my money on the top 3 contenders being Christie, Cruz and Bush again. Trump will probably be mid-tier level (along with Rubio, Paul and maybe Jindal) contender once everyone gets really going with this; which is disgusting enough that he'll be that popular :v: Everyone else will be fishing around the bottom of the barrel for votes.
usually, first ahead, last in the end.
Not to mention that FIRST in this case is 17%, behind him is 14%.(Jeb) Big whoop
Not to mention that FIRST in this case is 17%, behind him is 14%.(Jeb) Big whoop
Imagine winning the presidency with the majority vote of 17%
Imagine winning the presidency with the majority vote of 17%
Wig Store Putsch
I know it won't happen, but if Trump somehow becomes president I'll weep for days. and leave the US as well.
I know Trump won't win, but man if he ever does I'm getting the fuck out of this country.
why the fuck would anyone vote for him

I don't think Jindal stands much of a chance.
One thing is for sure, If Trump wins the presidency, I will miss George W Bush.
Can you imagine if Trump won the Republican nomination and Sanders won the Democrat nomination? Sanders would be running against the literal embodiment of corporate America.
Can you imagine if Trump won the Republican nomination and Sanders won the Democrat nomination? Sanders would be running against the literal embodiment of corporate America.
I can only hope for this outcome.
Are (invisible) primaries usually this fucking chaotic I don't remember 2012 being as bad as this for the Republicans

If trump wins the nomination, I'm re-registering as independent. If he wins the general election, I'm moving to Finland. [editline]14th July 2015[/editline] Toxx clause me please
Trump has approximately 0% chance of winning the primary or the general.

He probably lives in a state where you have to be a member to vote in a primary.
I forgot some states work like that.
I know Trump won't win, but man if he ever does I'm getting the fuck out of this country.
This country's probably the safest place to be, he's basically said part of his agenda will be a war with Mexico to "make them pay for it" referring to the 100foot wall he's going to also build He would inevitably do something impeachable very quickly because let's face it, as a billionaire with hundreds of millions tied up in stock assets, he's one giant conflict of interest
It's way to early for poll numbers to mean anything right now. The only reason he is leading is because he is the most recognizable and in the public eye at the moment.
He probably lives in a state where you have to be a member to vote in a primary.
Pretty much. Being independent = I don't want to have a say in either primary.

When you have countries like Russia invading its neighbors several times, North Korea testing nuclear bombs and Islamic extremism running rampant in the Middle East, all within the past 5 years, Mexico is the LAST cause of concern for the United States. [editline]14th July 2015[/editline]
Pretty much. You guys are forgetting Scott Walker.
Trump v Sanders. Both are rouges for their party. Let em battle it out. [editline]14th July 2015[/editline]
You guys are forgetting Scott Walker.
Scott Walker completely screwed Wisconsin, only an idiot would vote for him for president. They have billboards on the highway that are still trying to convince people that Walker is good for the state. MN v WI is a good comparison of leadership since the last election
Trump vs Sanders would be the most entertaining to watch.
Trump says something about keeping guns, American populace is won over.
Sanders is moderate on gun control and has been lambasted for some of his views lol
