I got an SSD today, but I can't transfer windows over quite yet, is it possible to just keep it as a storage device while running Windows on and HDD?
I'm currently running them in IDE mode (I don't fuckin know what that shit means I ain't no computer professor) and Windows detects the SSD, but doesn't let me access it as far as I can tell. When I try to run it in AHCI with the HDD booting first it just fucking crashes when it's supposed to go to the log-in screen.
Anybody know what the deal is? Am I missing any needed information?
Pictured: numbers and shit from the CD that came with the SSD. The ST3100etc is my HDD and is working fine. The SAMSUNG SDD is not. Do not believe this program's lies.

1. Run regedit
2. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlset/Services/msahci
3. In the right field right click on "start" and go to Modify
4. In the value Data field enter "0" and click "ok"
5. Reboot and enter BIOS
6. Enable AHCI
