I've been working on this song for about a week, and it's the first original song that i've liked enough to release. It's called "Life Goes On" and has an indie-pop mixed with chiptune mixed with barbershop quartet feel. Here's the soundcloud link: http://soundcloud.com/saturdaynightsunday/life-goes-on If you'd like to buy it, send me a PM and i can give you a link to download it in lossless FLAC, WAV, or 320 MP3.
Oh my god this is the best thing ever. Honestly though this is one of the greatest songs I've heard on Facepunch.

Ahh, this is very nice. The snaretambourine is a bit annoying. Oh god the chorus is really good. Oh annoying cymbal :(. I loved the piano in the chorus, and these synths are very nice. Melodically, it is one of the better songs I've heard. Your singing is very nice, a little little delay on your voice could've been good. It seems a bit flat as is. Do more stuff like this and you will get fans I recon. Just ditch that crash, and try to put more focus on your drums. Also in hindsight the whole song was a bit lacking in bass, at least a proper kick drum that would come through could add some low end interest. But it was really really good and other than the drums it's hard to complain
This is amazing. In my opinion, this deserves more media attention.
This is great! [editline]5th August 2011[/editline] Wait.. I remember you from YouTube! Were you in the Bushman contest? [editline]5th August 2011[/editline] Oh yeah, you were! By the way, there's something I've been wondering about that video. The drum clip at 2:50, isn't that the wrong one? I hear you hitting the hi-hat but I see you hitting the ride.
I can't help but think of A Town Called Malice when I hear this.
wow that was really upbeat
good music, nice voice but work on the lyrics
Getting a large Johnathan Coulton vibe here, and I'm liking it.

Damnnn this is good!
Amazing.
It's casual and awesome!
It's casual and awesome!
Your avatar really fits. It's a good song but i don't like the chorus, it's a little too upbeat.
I feel when your second and third vocal tracks layer, it gets to be a *bit* loud. Try softening them with discrete panning and or slight reverb. Great track, nonetheless.
I'd put a gate on the reverb because the tail doesn't work as an effect. On the FX track with your reverb, just add a gate before the reverb and adjust it so the long portion of the tail gets cut off. The bass seems to be to the left to me. The chorus vocal seems t be slightly to the right. Anyway, the stereo width seems There is a good frequency gap left out it feels, I would look at it through a spectrum analyzer but you can do that. I'm guessing 400-600hz, but I'm likely wrong, but I feel like there's a gap somewhere in the low mids. The tambourine feels like it is somewhere it shouldn't 'be. Overall the music is pretty good, and it is pretty well mixed.
oh pyrofiliac, you write awesome music. This is a quality single.
I love the songwriting, but your singing isn't spot-on.
Yes the songwriting and production value of the song is great. You're a great singer too, but there's just something about your voice I don't like, tbh. It's nasally and thin, but that's just my opinion.
This is pretty sweet, brother.

I love this :) Great Work!

Holy shit. That was actually really catchy. Its reminds me of Mayer Hawthorne a lot but with an indie flair. Really good I might put this on a blank CD to listen to in the car.
Download here: http://nickkwas.bandcamp.com/ It's free, but you can choose to name your own price, i.e. if you want to donate a dollar to me :D
I like this. It's really upbeat and doesn't have the same chord progressions as are constantly used in pop music today. Good stuff.
Way too cheerful and upbeat for me, but I appreciate the musicianship and all the work you put into this. Very well made song but yeah its pretty corny.
put it on bandcamp if you want people to buy it [editline]12th August 2011[/editline] oh nevermind you already did [editline]12th August 2011[/editline] you have a nice microphone ):
