[quote]Two moose were recently discovered frozen in battle and encased in ice near a remote village on Alaska's unforgiving western coast.
Brad Webster, a middle school social studies and science teacher in Unalakleet, captured images of the massive animals poking through the ice as they lay on their sides with antlers apparently locked together.
It was the end of moose rutting season, and the animals were likely fighting over a female moose. Webster speculates that one of the animals was wounded by the other animal's antlers, and perhaps died as their antlers were caught together, dragging the rival down with it.

A noble death. I think we can all relate.
Damn, the idea of something just being frozen in the moment, trapped in ice like that, is weirdly fascinating to me for some reason.
It's like bugs trapped in amber, but more ephemeral.

I agree, I can't tell you how many times I've been frozen to death in the middle of a fight.

They didn't "freeze in the moment". Their "horns" got stuck, one probably died of wounds shortly after and the other couldn't free itself and died of starvation or something few days later. Happens all the time.
I thought it said "2 Moose Found Frozen Mid-Flight" which would have been far more impressive.
Fetch yer nanosuits boys

This sentiment and this situation are both like the piece by Damian Hirst titled

You can get so caught up in the moment that the moment catches you too.
Truly a warriors death.
