Stumbled across this and thought that any metal-heads out there would find it interesting .

I'm personally happy with the #1 choice. Their last album sucked big time and was kind of a turn around for them.
I have no idea why, but I love the beginning of Hittite Dung Incantation on the new Nile album.
Why no "Black Clouds & Silver Linings" by Dream Theater? :saddowns:
Well, atleast Amorphis is on the top 10 :v:
I'm pleased (Although surprised) to see Sonata Arctica's the Days of Grays made it, albeit at 75. I enjoyed it, although I think it was largely slated.
I think this is going to be an excellent source of new bands to have a listen to - thanks for posting! Amorphis sound very promising.

It's number 29.
In my opinion it should've been nominated for the metal Grammy. It's their 10th album, and it reached number 6 on the Billboard 200.
I wouldn't agree with the ranking on this list for the most part, but this is still a pretty good list.
Why isn't Design Your Universe on there?
I think that album's amazing
Yay, Crack the Skye made the top ten.
Although I do think it should have done better than Endgame (no offense, Endgame is still awesome)
Converge's newest was a fucking killer. It surprises me how it didn't even make it to the top 20.
Dethalbum II should have been in top 10. Skyforger should have been #1.

The grammy's are stupid when it comes to metal awards. They only pick popular metal bands such as Slayer, Judas Priest and Metallica. I was suprised to see Ministry in the nominee's.

To be honest with you, it wasn't all that great of an album. I have to say the 1st one was better.

Wow
That's an awesome album cover
Amesoeurs isn't on the list, so therefore the list sucks.

And what was so fucking great about Endgame? I thought it was boring and nothing compared to older Megadeth.
why is sonic boom 43
[editline]10:20AM[/editline]
why is porcupine tree below sonic boom
[editline]10:20AM[/editline]
why is endgame in a top anything

Why is Porcupine Tree even on the list? I loved their new album, but it's not metal.
for those surprise loudy bits? lol

I really liked SA's new album. They improved upon Unia's sound and made the music much more interesting and catchy.
Just a FYI. These are all people's votes. They voted their favorites on a poll and the dude just made the list out of that.
Well that explains why Wolves In The Throne Room's album was so low. Mostly likely the reason Amesoeurs was not on there either.
Number 11 should be Number 10 at least
Well at least it made it that high
anaal nathrakh number 89 wtf is that
that album is badass
apart from that not bad though
Good list more or less, but Addicted(11) should be higher, so should Anaal Natrakh's(89). Easily the best black metal album for the year. And (6), Cannibal Corpse shouldn't be on there, nor do I feel Alice In chains should be on there.
[editline]05:28PM[/editline]
I also think that Converge and Behemoth should be much higher too.
What the hell? Where's Ensiferum's From Afar?
Anaal Nathrakh's album should be at least in the top 20.
There is no Giant Squid on this list. :crying:
Why is Porcupine Tree even on the list? I loved their new album, but it's not metal.
Not completely metal, but it has a lot of metal elements.

Same with Dream Theatre.
73. Grave Digger - Ballads of Hangman
lol no one listens to grave digger
dream theater is prog metal, that's extremely obvious.
Porcupine Tree is Grunge and so is Alice in Chains
I'm saddened that Wrath and World Painted Blood weren't in the top 10.

??? Lol
Porcupine Tree is Grunge
No. They're progressive rock with metal elements.
