Jamen Shively, a former Microsoft corporate strategy manager, said he envisions his Seattle-based enterprise becoming the leader in both recreational and medical cannabis - much like Starbucks is the dominant name in coffee, he said. ... "It's a giant market in search of a brand," Shively said of the marijuana industry. "We would be happy if we get 40 percent of it worldwide." A 2005 United Nations report estimated the global marijuana trade to be valued at $142 billion.
Reuters, ladies and gentlemen! What a guy he'd be if he could pull it off. When asked what he'd do in celebration if he could achieve his goal, he remarked, "Light a fat one."
It's a smart move, there's loads of money to be made considering there's still isn't a legitimate market for it.
Federally legalize it already.
Federally legalize it already.
The more businesses that get on board with it they won't have any option but to legalize it. I'm getting tired of saying weed should be legalized.
What will he name it
More power to him. Doesn't matter where you stand on the marijuana debate, it's already legal enough that a company could market and sell it under a brand. The only question is where and how easily they'll be able to do so.
As soon as its legalized EVERYONE is going to start growing it.
It'll be the valve of weed
Hopefully this happens. Then it'll eventually become legalised in the UK, as people realize how stupid drug laws are.
It'll be the valve of weed
More a Starbucks. Somewhere to smoke overpriced, overbranded weed and sit on your laptop.
More a Starbucks. Somewhere to smoke overpriced, overbranded weed and sit on your laptop.
wait are you saying weed isn't already over priced and over branded? Because it is
What will he name it
The good seed
As soon as its legalized EVERYONE is going to start growing it.
Not necessarily, how many people do you know grow their own tobacco? Or brew their own Alcohol?
Not necessarily, how many people do you know grow their own tobacco? Or brew their own Alcohol?
Homebrewing is very common and popular.
Not necessarily, how many people do you know grow their own tobacco? Or brew their own Alcohol?
The title of "weed" is largely apt, from my understanding. It is unusually hardy.
Homebrewing is very common and popular.
very common, really?
Homebrewing is very common and popular.
Where do you live? Alabama?
Not necessarily, how many people do you know grow their own tobacco? Or brew their own Alcohol?
my cousin grows tobacco and I brew my own beer [editline]31st May 2013[/editline]
Where do you live? Alabama?
homebrewing was illegal in alabama until this year's legislative session. everyone does it here, even former president jimmy carter was a homebrewer supposedly
Not necessarily, how many people do you know grow their own tobacco? Or brew their own Alcohol?
weed is easier to grow than tobacco and FAR easier than making alcohol
Heh, roommate recently busted a dude for having 50,000 bucks worth of illegal tobacco in his car, they were smuggling it to new york from georgia. Reason he got busted? Following too closely and smoking pot in the car.
Homebrewing is very common and popular.
Easier than planting and maintaining plants, less chance of something going wrong, ect. I bet many people will still grow it once it becomes legal, fear of going to prison is the only thing stopping most people.
Fuck Mexico bud. If we import it from anywhere it should be British Columbia. Anyways enough people already grow it in America, and I prefer local growers.
The more businesses that get on board with it they won't have any option but to legalize it. I'm getting tired of saying weed should be legalized.
Chances are the dealers will vote "No," as a legal product means that a price becomes set, the product is easier to distribute, and therefore, they'd get less money in a legit business and can't fuck over stupid teens anymore. [editline]30th May 2013[/editline] Vast majority would vote yes, though. And that's alright.
very common, really?
I've made homemade wine before, it's very easy.
