Sorry if this is the wrong section, but here it is: This is my first Xbox 360 case mod, I have never done any mods before, so this isn't perfect. I'm planning to do some case mods for PC next, that is why I have decided to post it here. Comments, suggestions, questions?
What if you get the RROD? How will you know?
Will it do a Red ring, or the Blue ring?
First of all, enough of the RROD stereotypes. I have several launch consoles from 2005 and none of them have ever gotten the RROD. Besides, new console have the same failure rate as a PS3 tbh. Second, if I do get the red ring, it will be obvious because three lights will be flashing
do want.
Why would you waste your time on a console?
Bored. Besides, I can't cut metal because i don't have a dremel

And Also the RROD stereotypes are based heavily on truth, Every friend I know in real life that has a 360 has had at least one RROD (I bought an Elite so I never had the problem)
I need to get a dremel for my case mod... That looks great!
What if you get the RROD? How will you know?
Well, for starters the Xbox won't work.

My 360 overheated like hell though, must have gotten 2 rings at least 10 times. And my friends 360 got the RROD, he tried gaming on his horridly outdated laptop. Of course he said "PC games run slow and horrible, the 360 is better".
Doesn't matter. Looks like he opened 'er up!
RROD is replaced free, out of warranty. Stfu.
looks nice i wonder if somebody did a casemod for ps3

The old consoles were really a bit sloppy made and that gave the 360 their bad image. But anyways, all new 360 consoles should be fine.
RROD is replaced free, out of warranty. Stfu.
not if he opened it up. if he gets rrod then hes fucked M$ wont take it back.
Fuck microsoft, I have fixed over 100 RRoD consoles for others, and 98% of them are self fixable. Besides, this xbox is a falcon chipset, all new Xbox only have a failure rate of 10% or less tbh [editline]03:05AM[/editline]
looks nice i wonder if somebody did a casemod for ps3
PS3 casemods are difficult, since there aren't much free space on the interior
not if he opened it up. if he gets rrod then hes fucked M$ wont take it back.
I made it obvious that I opened mine and they fixed it no questions for free.........................
Good work, you could probably do some deal with microsoft for their computer cases and what not :pervert:
I made it obvious that I opened mine and they fixed it no questions for free.........................
sure... but somthing like that they wont.
RROD is replaced free, out of warranty. Stfu.
Not anymore. Did you do this yourself? Or did you just buy the side?
I made it obvious that I opened mine and they fixed it no questions for free.........................
So have I, A friend who is very inexperienced in soldering fucked up his Xbox, and he send the Xbox back with at least 10 points with excessive solder, missing components, and a different DVD drive THAT IS FLASHED WITH IXTREME. The back of the case is also damaged a bit. Microsoft still repaired it. [editline]03:10AM[/editline]
Did you do this yourself? Or did you just buy the side?
I did all the mods myself, from scratch
What tools did you use?

I love it, Great job! Here have a artistic rating, also how hard was it to solder new LED's on your ring of light? I'm curious because I'm thinking of doing something similar to this. (Led light mods and windows)
PS3 casemods are difficult, since there aren't much free space on the interior
And nobody wants to fuck up their $600 console.
Is it just me or does pic 2 look kinda shopped. Good job anyway.
