Anyone gotten it? I like the sound of it but EA...
I love Spaz but I'm sick of early access games. Like Cows said, anyone got it and can tell if it's a good investment?
I had a quick blast with a friends copy. It's pretty good, a lot more freeform and allows more choices, takes awhile to get used to the combat and such. However it crashed a couple times when mousing over some of the other captains. So I'll just wait and buy my own copy later down the line when it's all been ironed out.

You should either buy it and not play it until it comes out or wait for it to be released.

On this note however I imagine the price will rise the further through Early Access it gets. So perhaps buying early to save money down the road is a viable option? That is ofcourse if people feel like taking that sort of risk with an Early Access game.

From what I've seen I don't think you are going to save a lot of money, so you could probably just play it safe and wait for it to come out.
It seems to be feature complete and EA is a means to stomp out the bugs and get multiplayer and voice acting in (currently synthesized voices).
That being said - If you're looking for a direct sequel to SPAZ 1, you won't find it here. It's gone a different direction roughly within the same genre. People are somewhat divisive on the matter. Take a look at the reviews/forums to see if it's your cup of tea or not.

I just tried it and it lost a ton of the original charm, I actually am dissapointed that they didn't stick with the 2D, it was oddly fun, the combat is extremely awkward now (kinda boring too), and the game somehow managed to get even more tedious, also the music and the interface are honestly depressing, the writing hasn't really gotten any better either.
I have really mixed feelings about it, I really wanted a game with a persistent universe where you could go around and build stuff but heh, if you really want to get it watch some gameplay videos first instead.
